I questioned whether or not to use the word “fart” in the recent issue’s cover story. It’s probably fair game, but then I decided to delete this intro, because it focused too much on the writer’s experience and too little on the band. I wanted people to jump right in and hear about the band – especially with the creative visuals we were using. Embedded into this story are a few of the cover possibilities we toyed around with (and ended up not using).

If there was some sort of Supreme Court for magazine postal regulations, I’d push for taking this there. There are three different stages I could take this. However, the third could take awhile … and that’s the last thing I want to do with an already-late November/December issue – delay it.
