Walk The Line

This’n slaps a big ole smile on the face ‘n’ goose bumps on the arms. What a joyous journey through the Man in Black’s life. The struggle of the sinner in love with God is really explored with honesty in both Johnny and June’s lives. The Director’s Commentary is worthy and adds a ton of insight, also. [Fox Video] DV

I agree. Great movie, although with Johnny Cash's actual likeness burned into my soul, it's difficult to translate Joaquin's image into my understanding of Johnny. Does that make sense? At first, I had a problem with the vocals being a little less than authentic. And then I realized that by the end of the movie Joaquin's vocals had evolved in the movie throughout the span of time, just as Johnny's did.

I really enjoyed the movie as well. If you know who Johnny Cash is then you know this was a good potrayal. If you dont know him then this makes you more interested eventually leading to Johnny's walk with God. He is a perfect example for those who think they arent good enough to be christians. Johnny was very much a man and he knew it but he also knew he couldnt be happy without God. That was evident in his last album. I really enjoyed this movie. Even though some people thought it was missing the christianity in it I believe it can be a good tool for those that are christians as well.

i was highly impressed, as well. it was a great film, and portrayal of the Man in Black. i will say, though, that the ending was a bit of a let down. the climax and all was perfect, leading to a resolution... but to see the resolution lived out in the revolutionary lives of JR Cash, and June Carter-Cash, would've upped this film quite a bit, if even possible.
