Rocker, The

Sure, it’s like Jack Black’s School Of Rock character revisited, but it’s a blast of a comedy all dressed in the context of a young hip rock band, as well as the spector of an epic power metal band called Vesuvious, which is over-the-top. One scene features a funny gag: “Just look at him – Abercrombie is making people!” Another includes a scheme for the quartet to make an out-of-town gig with their parents' (sort of) permission: "Tell them you're going to a Bible meeting ... that you want to further your interest in the Bible and spend some time around other kids that share your interest in the Bible." (not an exact quote, mind you). [Fox Home Video] DV
