Reign Over Me

Sandler’s serious roles, as these are called, are almost as cool as his laugh-a-thons. Don Cheadle stars alongside the comedian in a tale of “let me stay in this wounded state” guy who lost his family, which shows Sandler escaping into video games and his headphones. Hearing him go ballistic with The Who as his soundtrack in a courtroom is intense. The glimpse into the inner world of city life in New York City is pretty cool, too. [Sony Pictures] DV
