Exotic Vacations
Back to New York (Season 10)

Can't get enough reality TV kids? Well here is your chance to get it on DVD
and watch this absurd fad anytime you want (not like you can't already.)

I was assigned to write a review that would tell you what was on these
DVD's (just read the box -- it will tell you the contents of the DVD.) Instead,
I am just going to give you a little history (rant) about "reality tv." When
the Dating Game came on television in the 60's people though it was
ingenious to have a real live reaction "live" on tv. Years later when MTV
took it to a whole new level of filming peoples' lives for a few months they
were looked down upon by the big networks. Jump forward 6 or 7 years and
then, boom, "reality" starts to leak into your life like it's no ones'
business. Fox is the worst about it than any of the networks, I swear these
people have zero morals. Today you can turn on the boob toob and get a
face full of "reality" whatever time of the day it is. Evan during
non-primetime slots you are blasted with crazy dating schemes and the "let's
see what happens when you put a snake in the cradle of a baby" show (what
happened to soap operas?) You already know what's going to happen before it's
all over anyway, Entertainment Tonight tells you the punch line before the season starts (as if you couldn't figure it out for yourself.) I don't care
whether it's "Joe" or "The Sexxiest Person in the World," those fools are
getting on my nerves. If you want reality, just turn of that frickin' TV and
step outside, the world is full of it. Well, it used to be. [MTV - Paramount / Lonny Hurley]
