Premonition
Take Lake House, Groundhog Day, and maybe Memento ... swirl in a blender, and you get one interesting movie. Definitely not a feel-good flick, but one that’ll tickle the brain and have you guessing where the plot’ll turn next. An alternative ending and lots of explanations in the bonus material helps. My daughter snuck a peek at this movie unbeknownst to her parents while my wife and I were both working the festival at Cornerstone this year. Later on she came to the booth with a spaced-out stare. Our intern asked her how she was doing. She mentioned that she was kind of freaked out by this movie. It's kind of unsettling for anyone, much less an 11-year old. While this movie might not rank up there with Speed or The Net (depending on your taste), Sandra Bullock certainly plays this thriller/suspense roll well. [Sony Pictures Home Entertainment] DV
