Playmakers
Too controversial for the NFL (due to the seedy underbelly it expresses in this fictitious original series), this show is compelling, football-realistic, and very rough on the language and sexuality. Like Band of Brothers, viewing this is a male-bonding experience about males bonding. It leaves you wishing for more episodes.
