Osama

Critics have called it “stunning” and “cinematic art,” which is truthful in a visual sense. However, this subtitled film can be a struggle to sit through with focus and attention. The “inspired by a true story” tale of a girl forced to dress up as a boy and begin Taliban training is definitely emotional, and the visuals are on par with National Graphic, but Osama is not recommended if you had trouble sitting still through Crouching Tiger. DVD extras include director commentary and trailers for other MGM films. [MGM / James Wetz]
