One Hour Photo

Some subjects crawl under your skin. The obsessive stalking character that Robin Williams plays in this movie is one such creepy subject. While a long way from Mork or Patch Adams, Williams’ performance is brilliant nonetheless. Extra specials on this release include an interview from "The Charlie Rose Show," commentaries with writer/director Mark Romanek and Williams, and two featurettes that show how this comic nailed his dark character in part by playing the clown at every opportune moment off camera. Also insightful is the explanation behind the overly-lit surrealism of the Savmart megastore setting. It ironically juxtaposes the darkness of the subject matter. [ Fox Video / Doug Van Pelt ]
