Love Me Tender

This is the first film for Elvis and it should have been his last (with the
exception of Blue Hawaii.) In this post civil war drama of love gone awry, Mr. Presley is joined by classic beefcake Richard Egan and that bombshell Debra Paget. Presley plays a brother of a civil war soldier (Egan) thought to have been dead. So when Egan returns home to find his kid brother married to his sweetheart, jealousy ensues. Paget doesn't help the matters either, with her undying love for the once presumed dead Egan, she adds to the rivalry and causes chaos in the home.
This is the classic older-brother-thought-dead-and-isn't-now-he-wants-his-woman-but-younger-brother-beat-him-to-the-punch story. Throw some Yankees in there to mix up the
story line and (it) keeps you guessing. Man, Elvis really does make you sweat. [Fox Video / Lonny Hurley ]
