Last Waltz, The

Everything surrounding The Last Waltz can be related in one word – legendary. Not only is this the last performance of The Band and the staple concert documentary, directed by acclaimed director Martin Scorsose, but the DVD also includes unparalleled guest appearances ranging from Bob Dylan to Eric Clapton (with Neil Diamond mixed in somewhere in the middle). The audio and lighting are spectacular in capturing the spirit of a generation, and special DVD features include interviews with Robbie Robertson and Scorsose, a photo journal, and a jam session from The Band. Whether well versed in 70's rock or unfamiliar, The Last Waltz is a neccesity for all music lovers. [MGM / Chris Rose]
