Glimpse

Here's a great indie film dvd collection by a couple local filmmakers in Austin, Texas. There's lots to choose from here, but two striking films are Adam & Eve and What's Wrong With This Picture?

Adam & Eve is a brilliant doulogue filmed on a sparsly lit stage with Adam and Eve communicating from scratch, developing new words as they come, which was prefaced with the declaration - "new word." One creative example was seen in their first tense argument, where Eve asks Adam, "What is that sound? It's like you're throwing your words at me!" Poignant and funny at the same time.

What's Wrong With This Picture? is a hilarious mockery of a public service announcement about children, crayons, and little stick men.

Keep your eyes open for future productions from Dos Gringos, who have only just begun with this collection, which contains over one hour of comedy, drama, theatre, and spoof commercials. Once they make a hit, this will just be their embarrassing and crude beginnings (but they're certainly not awful).
