Flight 93
Stopping to frame each person’s boarding pass put a real names in this story of the United Airlines flight that went aground on 9/11 in rural Pennsylvania. The movie crystalized an emotional set of events with a realistic intensity that was acheived by not entirely demonizing the hijacking culprits, a slight glimpse into their perspective is gained; and by not overplaying the heroic efforts of the passengers. Being able to visualize this story is important, as the unbelievable events that really happened need to be told. These storytellers, who had permission and the blessing of every single passengers' surviving family member, was told gingerly and with restraint. It still packs a wallup.
