Elevation 2001 / U2 Live From Boston

This is one hellacious knockout punch. It's really magic stuff. The brilliant lighting and DVD clarity put you right there! The "guitar/boot" duel between Edge and Bono is awesome. "Where The Streets Have No Name" is a goosebump moment that magnifies God and the utter vacuousness of our ability to offer Him in exchange for His goodness (thanks to Bono's prayer intro) with its swelling and exploding passion.
An already great band all of a sudden seems even greater. Extras include a small window multi-angle, the editor's view of various camera monitors, and "The Making Of..." documentary. The navigation menu is a little hard on the eyes, but the heart here is pure rock & roll soul.
U2 has done about 5 monumental things in their career, and this DVD is one of them (What do you think would these be the other "moments" ? : Joshua Tree album, live performance at Live Aid, Red Rocks live performance, Pop Mart tour). [INTERSCOPE / Doug Van Pelt]
