Diggers
Brotherly love runs deep in this good ole boy tale from 1976 (the movie was made this year, sweetie, it was only set in '76). Four roughnecked clam diggers work through grief and the struggles of life. At each other's throats one minute, and surrounding each other with unity and commradery the next. Kinda fun.
Now, to add my two cents as an 80+ year old woman, let me say that the language in this movie was filthy. They swore like the fishermen characters they played, but using the Lord's Name in vain like that is just disgusting! I won't even bother hacking up the "cussword count" that my editor demands, but I do omit this information under protest. Such filth! [Magnolia] Melba Jackson
