Crossroads
Ralph Macchio was shockingly picked to play the role of young Eugene Martone in this 1986 movie -- a Julliard prodigy guitarist who can’t help but taint his classical training with a love for the blues. When he discovers “Blind Dog Fulton” aka Willie Brown living in a retirement home nearby, he breaks him out for a semi-crazed road trip to the Delta of Mississippi for a showdown with the devil at the infamous crossroads where Robert Johnson sold his soul. Lots of guitar playing and harmonica wailing takes place, with some humorous arguments about blues history and what it takes to play this genre.

I just wanted to say that I love this movie if not for the guitar playing and blues music, but for the simple blues history lesson you get. the plot is great, the acting is great and the guitar playing is SWEET!!! Definately take the time to watch this movie if you're a lover of any music.

My favorite scene was when the karate kid has the showdown with the satanic glam rock icon. Charlie Daniels eat your heart out.
