Behind Enemy Lines

This is one excellent action movie. The visual footage and audio soundtrack is spectacular, and the story is good, to boot. A maverick Navy pilot/navigator (adeptly played by Owen Wilson) gets shot down over Bosnia after he and his soon to be executed partner photograph some damning evidence, which makes getting him out all the more complicated joined with the geo-political constraints and frustrating UN leadership agendas. A great ride from beginning to end, and the deleted scenes and alternate “true justice” title sequence are hot. There’s also two different commentaries, one of which is insightful and the other is like sitting behind two people in a theater who argue like your grandparents and don’t get on with the story. Overall, this is a good’n. [Fox Video / Doug Van Pelt]
