XDisciplexAD - The Revalation
XDisciplexAD have always demonstrated a sure, quick intensity coupled with a continuous barrage of throat-strong hardcore. Now this, their newest LP, brings metal back into the mix. Where Heaven and Hell presented a strong New York hxc feel, The Revelation throwns in more thrash. Myself included, many fans have enjoyed the metal side xDisciplex have showcased with Imitation of Love and No Blood No Altar Now. Well, our voices have been heard. Their "attitudes (have) changed more... back towards doing something furious."
And furious it is. We're talking mad fast with cold, philistine breakdowns (small army style with beatdown kids picking up change all over the place). This is definitely the album that fans, worldwide, have been waiting for. It's tough guy steady, stand tall steady with square shoulders. Please pardon the played out adjective I'm about to use, but The Revelation is brutal. It moves from beginning to end. Maybe I'm just partial; I've always loved this band. But with an already lofty admiration comes even higher hopes of things to come. And with really tall expectations, most releases fall at the wayside. But, as you can tell, this review is a good one. For in The Revelation, xDisciplexAD have created their best album to date. [TRIPLE CROWN] DAVID ALLEN

xDISIPLEx AD has been tearing up the scene for over 9 years. It is no surprise that this album is great. I was sad when I heard that the band had thrown in the towl this year, but on the bright side they're all back in a new band, Jesus Wept. I encourage any xDx fan to check out their new CDep "Sick City."
