Sleeping by the Riverside - A Breath Between Battles

Somewhere between thought and action there is a moment of decision – this is the moment of truth. When Sleeping by the Riverside recorded A Breath Between Battles, they made all of the correct choices. From intense lyrics that challenge the most grounded of people, to the ripping guitars and vocals – sick down to the last chord. The Riverside crew confronts a range of subjects in this album; pro-lifers gone awry, television addicts dying where they sit, the misuse of the cross as a symbol of riches and sex, and the painful desecration of the Lord’s Name. "You lost me somewhere between God and damn," a lyric not to be misconstrued as vulgar, but as a fist in the face of ignorance. As a side note, one of the finest and most eye catching layouts for an album. Sure the newspaper thing has been done before, but this one takes the cake (make it a point to read the story of a WWII soldier running from the Nazis). [INDIANOLA] LONNY HURLEY

One of the best cds of last year and possibly one of my top five cds for years to come. Excellent, excellent cd.

Buy this CD. That is all.

the name is awesome anyway.

this band rips a new one. wish i could see them live some day. *sigh*

Seriously do yourself a favor and get this cd. Ive seen these guys twice and they rocked. Its even got one of their older songs on there that everyone loves, "Its a pitty though, somthing that holds me back." Just awsome.

SBTR destroyed our place when they played these new songs live. An incredible live band with a great attitude.

in hearing this band quite some time ago with their split with carry the dead on take hold i was excited to hear of them finally getting a real shot at showing there musical talent to a larger listening audience and seeing that sbtr talks about issues that some christian hc bands have steered away from i say kudos besides with strongarm dismembered and shai hulud preaching nothing but hatred where am i going to hear this kind of superior musical talent excellent record and great layout
