Sinai Beach - When Breath Escapes

“She grabs me, takes me to the bed once more. I’m just a baby, but she’s done it all before. Taken advantage of a two year old, raped his innocence.” The brutality doesn’t stop with the lyrics; Sinai Beach tears your soul out and smashes into a brick wall with their open musical violence. Penning life-changing horrors into an album can break a person or release them from a plague of memories. With sick metal that rivals label-mates Nodes of Ranvier, SB is sure to win over the pit at this summer’s festivals. The only down point on this album is the over-used movie clips; it worked for ZAO on
Liberate Te Ex Inferis, but beyond that, it’s passé. [FACEDOWN] LONNY HURLEY
