INVISIBLE FORCE

Almost no one ventures into the territory of melodic metal these days and, after hearing so many bad attempts at this classic style, I’ve become glad that it’s rare. However, when someone gets it right, you’ve got to give them props. I mean, we’re talking a vocalist who actually sings here! When comparing to Scorpions, Journey, Giant, Rising Force, and Dream Theater, however, I’d have to give this dynamic duo a B. The guitars are beautifully perfect and exceptional, the vocals are slightly above average, the songs show variety, but I’m not hearing a single song that I know I’ll be whipping out again in fifteen years and drooling again. The power ballad “Cry Of Love” comes the closest, and there’s two versions to enjoy – acoustic and full electric.
