Daylight is Coming

I can’t say you’ve never heard this before, but that’s not really a negative thing. What I can say is that Daylight is Coming is an incredibly well produced album that is exceptional listening, and even better nighttime driving music. You know when you need a good city-light drive and something mellow (but on the verge of not-too-mellow) to get lost in – that’s this album. They sing it themselves… “What a beautiful sight for the worn and weary eye…” It’s like a sign or something. They’ve even mastered the whole “how to make drums sound beautiful” thing, and the instruments are clean and real – countering “Something Made to Last” subject matter: “Everything’s so artificial, a fabrication of what’s beautiful.” Though the lyrics are slightly cliché, David Zach’s vocals are more than notable, and this piano laden modern rock album will speak for itself. Start driving. [World] Levi Macallister
