Michael Roe
Say Your Prayers
Like a classic album by a hero of music should sound and feel like, this is it. With a raw live recording that makes you think you are sitting in the local dive, with Mike, your best friend playing songs just for you. The lead off song claims "the itch is back" I just wish I knew what the itch was. "Say Your Prayers" reminds of my youth and my parents teaching my sister and me how to pray, I thank them for this. I will promise you never have to skip a song on this eight-song prize. The only thing that makes me feel weird about this record is that in the liner notes he has credits for his hair stylist, do the other "Dogs" thank their groomers. [Fools of the World/ Lonny Hurley]
