Long Since Forgotten
Standing Room Only
If pop rock is what you’re lookin’ for, pop rock is what you’ll get. Lush vocal harmonies, catchy lead guitar lines and beats that force you to tap your foot. Yes, even if you really really don’t want too. Upon first listen though, I found lead singer Josh Coy’s vocals a little too thick for this style of music. Maybe the pop genre has been beaten into me too many times, but I expected the vocals to be a tad bit more high pitched. It could be just me, but Coy seems like his voice would compliment an acoustic set better. Call me crazy. Everything else is solid and screaming to be stuck in your head for days. Don’t worry though, these guys aren’t singing about the usual growing up and girls; these lyrics have substance to them and border on the darker, lonelier side of pop. So go listen to this if you like bobbing your head and tapping your foot while depressed...in a poppy way. [RocketStar / Colin Hobbs]
