Kaiser & Friends, Glenn
No Greater Love
Hearing a voice like Glenn’s is like sensing the testimony of truth. The leathery and tattered vocals seem to reveal an empathy that has known pain and almost breaks with tears when the lyrics turn to hope. These vocals could take tired, even stale worship songs and boost them up with life. To justify repeated listens, however, the songs need to have their own strength. In this team effort here (which includes guest singers and players), Glenn and his friends deliver the goods. [Grrr / Doug Van Pelt]
