STOP TRYIN TO MAKE CREED LOOK STUPID!!!!
I'm Not Leaving
After all the harder music that has been coming out lately and thriving better then ever, its good to get a break from the chaos that is continuously pounded into my head. Derrick Harris has a very worship-oriented style that leaves the listener waiting for a change in the music. After listening to the CD a few times all the songs sound the same and I couldn't tell the difference between them unless I looked up at the CD player to read the track number. Although "It's Your Move" shows another side of Derrick Harris. As he confidently sings "I see the light in me" I'm thinking "Yes, Derrick, I can also see the bluegrass, good ol' country boy in you." But it has come to be my favorite track on the I'm Not Leaving, released on Silent Planet. Harris has a voice that sounds like he secretly cloned Creed's Scott Strapp's voice and has begun the attack of the clones all over again. Perhaps somewhere in the cloning process the chromosomes (or whatever those little things are called) got watered down because the voice of Harris isn't as abrasive and harsh. I'm Not Leaving is an appropriate title because it is really not leaving my mind. [Silent Planet/Sarah Day]
