Force Family 5 could be mistaken for an experiment in time travel with rap metal as a template. Stay with me here...Instead of those elements of musical zeitgeist that coalesced into Limp Bizkit and P.O.D., FF5 deal in a parallel recombinate nostalgia: commercial hip-hop was of the electro variety to which breakdancers were doing their thing ubiquitously throughout the media, Cheap Trick hadn’t completely sold out their aesthetic souls to top 40 radio, and New Order were still relevant to club kids and less extroverted arty types for whom “new” rock hadn’t yet been relabeled “alternative.” Jogging my memory back to 1984-87, the closest thing my noggin can recall to Force Fam’s hybrid antics are The Meatmen’s and Dead Milkmen’s parodying of the aforementioned styles. Not too close, those. Regardless, as the culture bids g’bye to rap metal, dance-rockers like Franz Ferdinand and The Arctic Monkeys make sense to VH1 and The Strokes do their own sonic DNA splicing, Force Family 5 are the guys for such a time as this. If their wont is to subtly express their faith, their hooks are indelible. Derivative as the day is long, but brilliant in how they piece together those derivations. As fun, if not overly substantive, an album you and your kid sister are likely to enjoy in ‘06. [Gotee] Jamie Lee Rake

I agree. You can not have a Christian band that their videos like " Love Addict" are like a porno. I don't like them. Sorry guys but thats not very Godly like. Not a good group!

for heavens sake! grow up! they do not need to fit into the typical christian mold of a band to be awesome christian rockers! They are spreading the message through their music - and reaching a wider audience than most of your so called Christian bands that are so boring could. They are reaching non-christains with their music, and telling them about Jesus, which is excellent and what you want. However, they also have the ability to rock out and have fun, which is why they can reach such a large audience. Stop trying to rap christian artists into one formula! these guys are doing a wonderful job, their music sounds great and if you listen their lyrics express their love for God and Jesus. Love Addict is not a porno, just because there are girls wearing hot pants, it doesn't mean anything. These guys are just as Godly as any christian, don't judge them not to be so just because they don't fit your boring christian music formula. Put it this way, no one wants to listen to christian music for the very reason that it's boring. These guys are reaching the youth of today - not of yesterday which is where you are coming from. Look at the modern world - this is what people want, christian or not.

well i am so srry to all of u who don't like this but thats yer opinion... i really like this band and if u don't just say so i don't want to read yer excuse not to be rude but i think most of these excuses are very much lame cause this band is awsome to me.... now i don't want to sound cheesy like an oveltine comercial so i'll leave it at this ...... this band is Christian and it doesn't mean they always have to sing about God they can sing about there emotion and watevr they want to sing about they express themselves in THE COOLEST way ...

Man I LOVE this CD ! Well, sure, they don't say the name of JESUS in every song......well, ok, maybe not ANY song, BUT it's nice to have some fun music to rock out to in my Jeep that doesn't sing about partying, drugs, sex, and all that garbage !!!!
