Evoka Project, The

December Drive EP

I've heard this band a thousand times. You've heard this band a thousand times, too. It's nothing new and nothing exciting. The Evoka Project is obviously a project to cash in on the current emo-rock explosion. I can compare them to the usual—Jimmy Eat World, The Juliana Theory, Hey Mercedes—but what's the point. I'll try not to be overly critical, though, and admit that they don't sound exactly like these bands, but there is still really nothing special here. The elements are all correct: fine tuned vocals, driving and powerful guitars, solid drums, and enough star references to fill a planetarium. Over all, the music is okay, but in a world where there is so much to choose from, don't waste any time here. [Audiolab /Chris Rose]

your review blows these guys are very telented and deserve more of a listen but hey do sound alot like fsf and other emo laces pop driven music but dood your review blows it blows bad . Evoka is one of the most taltented bands that our out right now and they deserve another review . and dood they sound nothing like julianna theory ?

Evoka is an amazing band with great, visionary songwriting.. Given better production, they would rock the world.
