Devil Wears Prada, The

Newly signed to Rise Records and just over a year old, this baby is already cutting teeth and growing fast. The Devil Wears Prada’s mature hardcore/metal sound fills in all the gaps in a scene where many bands are lacking certain components. Sweetly sung vocals over deep growls, staccato synth accents, complicated breakdowns and tempo changes that turn on a dime create something that won’t fade into white noise. Beginning with guitars mimicking piano scales on “Gauntlet Of Solitude” and ending with the beautifully epic “Salvation,” Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord will hit the ground running.
