With an arresting image on the album cover and an intriguing name (not to mention the automatic reputation that being part of The Militia Group,albeit a new sublabel, affords) Anadivine is already a band I want to know more about. Digging into the lyrics reinforce the dark themes, telling tales of drink, lost love, and murder. The positive pop rhythms act as a funny juxtaposition to this, thus creating a subtle charm that the low speed drone of Pedro’s Control couldn’t offer.

Whether this perspective on sin comes from the perspective of a believer is not apparent. Is this an "irresponsible" review of a secular band? I dunno. You decide. [SIDECHO] KERN COUNTY KID, THE
