I think I am hitting the road as soon as I am done typing this. It is so sad to leave HM, but yet another adventure awaits back home. Well, that is if you count a semester of college as an adventure. Maybe "challenge" is a more fitting word.
I am going to miss so much here. The people I've encountered -- Amanda, my partner in crime here will be missed the most, the constant stream of music playing, the quiet country, joking around with Amanda and Doug and of course, calling my mom to ask for money.
I would have to say my favorite part of working for HM would have to be taking pictures of the Better off Rock'd tour show at La Zona Rosa. I'm not sure why. It is just one of the many fond memories I have here that happens to stand out the most.
I'm so glad I got to do this, I would have missed out big time had I decided that this experience wouldn't be worth the small sacrifices I had to make in order for this to work out -- main one being not having a job for two months. But this was totally worth everything and then some.

Right now I am waiting for my laptop to cool off. It gets over-heated from time to time and shuts itself off. Yeah it is really convenient, let me tell ya.
I am so full from pizza, brownies, and soda. Doug's family came over to the office and we had pizza then Tornado, our HM neighbor, brought us tons of treats for the journey home which is mostly brownies. I think Amanda and I each have a whole batch of brownies.
Well, tomorrow I head to my home in Oklahoma, back to my normal life -- no more HM, no more Doug, no more Biscuit. It has been fun. It has been real. It has been real fun.
I'll probably have something more profound to write tomorrow morning.

It is actually the morning of July 20th. Last night Amanda and I hung out with the group of people that are in the Bible study we've been going to as much as possible since we've moved here. Goodbyes are so depressing when you don't know if you're going to ever see them again. Well, goodbye again 11th Hour, your ministry will be in my prayers. I'm so glad God let us cross paths.
So that's why I didn't write in this yesterday, we left to go hang out in a big hurry. We were still 30 minutes late to meet everyone. That's what you can expect from the Summer of 07 HM interns -- we will we at least 6 minutes late to everything you invite both of us to.

Most of this work day was spent printing, cutting and stuffing Kutless promo letters into envelopes, then sealing the envelopes. It seemed like an easy task when I was told to do it, but when there are over 1,000 addressed envelopes to fill and seal it is very tedious. I think we've gotten over 500 done so far.
We ran out of colored paper for the letters this afternoon so we decided to venture out to Wal-Mart and buy some more. We also had McDonald's for lunch. Wal-Mart and McDonald's. God bless the USA.
Remember to wait thirty minutes after you eat before you go swimming.

Good news: I have extracted my photos from Warped Tour '07. All I had to do was copy them from my camera onto its memory card. Duh, Jenn! Bad news: The computer in Amanda's office crashed today. Boooo to technological difficulties. More bad news: I am having writer's block with an album review I was recently assigned. I will figure out what to write eventually. I'm just really frustrated that I have time to write this only I have nothing to write because my brain is refusing to be creative right now.
Eat your vegetables.

Doug, Amanda and I went to Warped Tour '07 in San Antonio last Friday. It was a great experience. I got to see Haste the Day (one of my top 5 favorite bands), The Almost, Paramore, Family Force 5, As Cities Burn and Anberlin. I got to sit in on Doug's interview with Josh and Jeremey from Paramore and I was introduced to Aaron Gillespie -- poor guy had a migraine before and after The Almost played. I also got to take up-close pictures of Paramore during their first three songs and some shots of Anberlin during their third song. I got some good shots, but I don't think I'll be able to send them to Doug until after I get home because that's where the USB cable to my camera is.
Today I worked on yet another album review. I am happy with the final product. I also did some work no one would probably care to hear about -- website stuff. Be sure and pray for Doug, his neck is in a lot of pain. Talk about bad timing, deadline is on Friday!
I have no beneficial advice to add as a closing statement today.

I don't have a good excuse for not writing in this the past couple of days. Well, I do have an excuse: I'm easily distracted -- but I wouldn't call that a good one. I can't believe this internship ends next Friday! On the other hand, it is time for me to head home, get my previous job back and get ready for the upcoming fall semester of school. It seems like I have been just cranking out album reviews like crazy, but I've only written three. I had a quite the booger of a review today, I had to revise it twice. The final product does make me happy though. I like how in my last entry I said I finished my last album review, but I was wrong.
I've been unknowingly exchanging HM-related emails with a former member of one of my favorite bands today. When I finally put the pieces of the puzzle together, (which wasn't hard after he said what band he was in) I sort of sent him a nerdy reply. Oh well, that's Jenn Smith for ya. I do/say odd things when I get excited sometimes and I gave up on trying play it off a long time ago haha.
