Now that I'm taking college classes again, I need to see if I can intern @ HM once I get back to Austin (in about 3 years). That would be fun.
Colin, call me when ever you see this. I miss you.

three more months and I'll be 22. three more months and I'll be on tour. HM was a blast. today has been strange for more reasons than I can or want to stipulate on this message board, but take it from me: reality has taken a turn south. On another note, I graduate from The University of Texas on Friday and play a show with Recover, The Rocket Summer, and At All Cost. ROCK. The Final Deuce.

right. I'm sick from Anthony (bass player) and I had to put postage on a gazillion cards today. Passing out on the way home never felt so good.

so I've got allergies like no other right now and I cant stand to be awake, but I cant even sleep without drowning in a pool of my own snot. Delicious. between sneezes and sniffles I've managed to get alot of good progress with David on the Hard News Layout. I'm gonna go home now and slice my nose off with a shovel. DEUCE.

Wow. So today, I had to finish labeling those postcards, and then go through ALL of them and mark out with a sharpie all of the double printed zip codes and all the instances of the word "Rassmussen." Crazy. I'll update you when I have to put the postage on all 1000+ of them. All of you out there who get these soooooo better renew your subscription. OR ELSE. Also, I had to write a bio on Doug at the last minute. It was really interesting getting to know everything he's done in the past 20 or so years. I felt honored. I think my writing style is getting better as well. I'm writing the EC on Pony Express and I didn't include myself! I know that sounds lame and egotistical, but I just needed to do it before to get a start and a reference point to what I was writing about. Especially if I didn't know/care about the band. So there you have it.

Word. My hands a lil cramped right now. I just finished labeling about halfa million subscription renewal postcards, and i'm not even halfway done. there were so many complications with the printing, but I managed to trudge through it with my face intact. oh yeah, and I conquered the beast that is Alpha Five!! I hate that stinking program and I made it my slave. So there. Unh. See you on Friday.

Today was hilarious. We were trying to decide what to put in the next issue and it exploded into this huge debate between doug and david about butt rock, the history of HM, and slim pickens. it wasn't really a fight, but more of a loud discussion in general. so that lasted for...ummm...about 3.5 hours until a thunderstorm broke it all up and david decided to take the lil black scooter out in the rain wearing nothing but his signed Run DMC oversided shirt, black panties and slippers. Lemme tells ya, he was taking those storm clouds on head first, even if he had no pants on! more action as it develops...

this morning, I was attempting to get to HM on time as I passed the freeway where a HUGE accident happened. I thought to myself, "hmmm...good thing I'm going to opposite direction!" so I exit off and take my street and whadaya know: all of the lanes are backed up with traffic that was avoiding the accident!! Serves me right, I guess. So needless to say, I was an hour late. But I still got alot of work done and hopefully helped out a lil on this, the day of our deadline. I think this mag is going to be one of the best i've had my hand it so far. (considering it's only the second.) anyway, if anyone reads this, come out to the kirby show tonight. i'll give you a hug.

deadline week. craziness. maybe tomorrow I'll get to record a blues song with doug and david on their computer microphone. until then, I can only dream. so the kirby tour was fun, but cut short because of weather up north and funds. christian clubs suck, thats all i have to say. i dont know why, but christians and business...no...money, don't mix. when it comes to makin' a profit, all the ethics are out the window and the bands get it right up the a$$. ('scuse my language.) the other bands were cool, fans were cool. yep. OH> i'm designing the cd cover for our new ep which'll be out soon. dont worry, i'll drop it like its hot. TRU. well...see yous friday. keep it hottttttt.

workin hard. that's all i've got to say. i'm about to leave HM to take off for our show in Dallas and i'm a little bit distracted from writing this. i can't wait until all i do is play shows every night for half a year and then write music the other half. what more could a guy ask for? it's not really work then, but pleasure because you are doing what you love. don't get me wrong, working at HM is quite a pleasure, but you've got to weight your pleasures, and I'm quite certain the band wins. hands down. no hard feelings, though.

jumbo jacks. free coffee at starbucks. HM. cant beat it. you know what else you cant beat? going on TOUR in two days through the midwest. yup. The Kirby is off to rock more socks, but this time we're takin' the yanks. hopefully they'll buy shirts. so if anybody reads this, pray that we have God's protection and guidance on tour. temptation abounds for us, but God's grace is far more abundant.
