As Cities Burn Debuts On Billboard 200
Releasing their third studio project on Tooth & Nail Records last week, As Cities Burn broke into the Billboard Top 200 at No. 109 selling more than 4600 units of "Hell or High Water." The album takes the sound of Come Now Sleep (2007) and strips it even barer instrumentally, while breathing a more reflective take on the music scene ("Errand Rum") love ("Lady Blue") and an artistically blunt finale that passes the torch to other great acts ("Capover"). With "Hell or High Water," the band has created a brutally honest and musically progressive record that wise listeners will surely be discussing about amongst themselves. As Cities Burn hails from Louisiana and includes Cody Bonnette (vocals, guitar), Christopher Lott (guitar), Colin Kimble (bass) and Aaron Lunsford -(drums). The band formed in 2002 and have released two projects on Solid State/ Tooth & Nail Records: "Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest" (2005); "Come Now, Sleep" (2007). The band has toured with Emery, So Long Forgotten and Jonezetta.

Win A Chance To Be On Austrian Death Machine's New Album
Tim Lambesis, the mastermind behind the most brutal Ahhnold band ever, is hard at work not only touring with his band AS I LAY DYING but preparing songs for the next AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE album Double Brutal due out early fall Doom-thousand and nine (that's 2009 for anyone who doesn't get puns). Anyone who tries to deny the plain and simple fact that ADM IS the most brutal Arnie band out there will be thrown out of the Martian mines on Mars and Ahhnold will so not start the reactor to save your pathetic life no matter what Kuato says leaving you to choke to death just before your face explodes. Anyway, here is a message from Tim Lambesis via the AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE MySpace page to fans of the band and those who think they can do a better Arnie impersonation. “I was just searching the web for all things Arnold like I often do, and I came up with an idea based on these videos I posted. I'd love to see some people submit their impersonations with links to videos or audio recording. Whoever has the best impersonation can do a track with me on the new Austrian Death Machine record I'm working on right now. To be honest, I don't think anyone out there can do a better impersonation than Josh Robert Thompson, so don't compare yourself to him. Just do the best you can and have fun…I mean brutal fun of course!” Send your video via a post to the following blog

Since their formation, Creed has sold close to thirty-five million albums and millions of concert tickets. The songwriting team of Stapp and Tremonti are considered one of the most prolific in rock history. Their collaborations delivered numerous chart-topping records that are a testament to the enormity and success of Creed. The band was the first act to have seven consecutive number one rock radio singles, four of which came off of the debut album. Their third album, Weathered, tied The Beatles Anthology, for the most consecutive weeks at Number One on Billboard's Top 200 chart (eight weeks since the beginning of the SoundScan era (1991). The band's debut, My Own Prison, was released on August 26, 1997 and has sold over six million copies in the U.S. The follow-up, Human Clay, was distributed on September 28, 1999 and certified Diamond for sales in excess of 11 million copies. On reuniting, guitarist Mark Tremonti stated, "We're all very excited to reconnect with our fans and each other after six long years." Drummer Scott Phillips added, "Our career as Creed came to a very abrupt and unforeseen ending. After reflecting on some of the greatest personal and professional moments of our lives, we've come to realize that we are still very capable of continuing that career and our friendship on a grander scale than ever before." Bassist Brian Marshall continues, "This is a development we are all happy about. It has been a long time since the four of us have taken the stage together, and without hesitation or reservation this is something all of us are in to. The anticipation to get back out there is electrifying. Singer Scott Stapp concluded, "Its amazing how life can change and bring you full circle. Time gave us all a chance to reflect, grow and gain a deeper appreciation of our friendships, artistic chemistry, passion for music, and sincere love for our fans! It's rare in life to get a second chance to make a first impression and we embrace the opportunity. We all believe the BEST IS YET TO COME!" The band has also teamed with I Love All Access to provide a variety of VIP ticket packages for the tour, including premium seats, meet and greets, photo ops, parties and more.

Peter Case Benefit Brings Out The Love
Master of ceremonies T-Bone Burnett invited comic Eric Idle, singer Katie Melua and folk rock legend Richard Thompson, among other surprise guests, to the stage on Sunday night at McCabe's in Santa Monica. The occasion was the final night in a series of three sold-out shows benefiting Peter Case, the singer-songwriter-producer whose emergency open-heart surgery left him sidelined in January. Burnett's Sunday night revue also featured Joe Henry, Sam Phillips, Syd Straw, Bob Neuwirth, Carla Olson, Geoff Muldaur, and Case's former bandmates, the Plimsouls, as well as Case himself who performed "A Million Miles Away" accompanied by the Section String Quartet and "Oldest Story in the World" with the Plimsouls. Other weekend highlights included Friday's headline appearance by Loudon Wainwright III; he coaxed Case onstage to perform his signature arrangement of Blind Willie McTell's "Broke Down Engine Blues." Van Dyke Parks invited singer Inara George to join him, while Phranc, the All American Jewish Lesbian Folksinger, dedicated her song "I Like You" to Case, and turned her sing-a-long anthem "Live Lover" into "I'm a Peter Case Lover," especially for the occasion. Saturday night's show was a gathering of old friends: Dave Alvin performed Case's "On My Way Downtown" while telling stories of the days before he and Case graduated from their bands the Blasters and Plimsouls to become the award-winning and esteemed songwriters they are today. Case pals Stan Ridgway, Ron Franklin and performance artist the Dark Bob turned in startlingly different and sublime sets of their own. "I'm feeling great and am amazed and humbled by the extraordinary turnout," said Case on Monday morning. In 1984, Case made his debut as a solo artist at McCabe's; in February he was set to celebrate 25 years of performing there. But just as he was preparing to leave for a European tour in January, he was hospitalized. It was following an attempt at angioplasty that he received emergency bypass surgery. As one of the nearly 47 million Americans who remain uninsured, Case's incoming hospital bills and aftercare costs remained unresolved. However, all proceeds from the Hidden Love Benefit Concerts will contribute tremendously toward reducing those costs. In addition to the concert, Peter's friends, fans and fellow artists have established the Hidden Love Fund to help further alleviate the burden of his medical expenses.
