NOTE: All 12am and 1am shows are listed with the "night" they belong to. For instance, if you go out on Thursday night and start seeing bands at 10pm, the band listed at midnight is just two hours later and thus listed as a "Thursday" show, even though, technically, it's really Friday morning... Got it?

DecembeRadio Releases New Video This Friday
Slanted Records' acclaimed rock band DecembeRadio will debut its first concept video “Look for Me” on Friday, March 13th, at 5:00 EDT with a world premiere on the Gospel Music Channel (times will vary based on network commitments in specific time zones). The Gospel Music Channel is the fastest-growing network in television and can be seen in more than 40 million homes on various cable systems around the country and on DIRECTV on channel 338. The video, directed by Benjamin Eisner, of Knitted Heart Productions, coincides with the recent release of “Look for Me” to AC radio, where it is receiving early nods. The ringtone for “Look for Me” as well as the new video will be available online on March 31st. “We cannot wait to unleash this video!” exclaimed lead singer and bass player Josh Reedy. “It was a very cool experience to do our first video, and we had a blast shooting it in the different locations. This song is actually written from God's perspective with Him saying, ‘You've looked everywhere, tried everything and still have a void in your life. If you would just look for Me, you would realize that I'm all you need.' “We decided to have a moment in the video where we could ‘go up,' ‘get close' to God and look for Him as we were singing the song. Then we said, ‘Well, on top of that, let's just get all dressed up in our best duds and do it right!' It was a great experience.” “It was so fun for me to watch this video evolve from its origins to the finished product,” stated Eisner. “We had our ideas going in as to what we were going for, but then we experienced non-stop rain which redirected us. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised to see that the shot we ended up going with was much better than what we had originally planned. This was just another reminder that many times the best ideas are not the ones we come up with, but the ones that just present themselves to us if we're willing to improvise.” DecembeRadio has been celebrating nominations for the 2009 Gospel Music Association (GMA) DOVE Awards in three categories surrounding their acclaimed sophomore release, Satisfied. The recording received a Rock Album of the Year nod, an award they took home in 2007 with their self-titled debut. Their radio hit “Find You Waiting” received a nomination for Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year; and their current rock single, “Better Man,” was nominated for Rock Recorded Song of the Year. “We are honored to be recognized by the members of the Gospel Music Association,” stated guitarist Eric Miker. “To have our peers honor something we put our sweat and tears into is really an encouragement to us. When we first started this band, we could only dream of getting a DOVE nomination, so to gain three more this year really feels like a dream come true.” DecembeRadio is currently on the road with the Newsboys as part of the 31-city Join the Tribe tour, taking them throughout the United States and into Canada. Attendees can enjoy the live version of “Look for Me” which features lead guitar player Brian Bunn on violin for a change.

FM Static's New Album Out April 7th
Fans of Thousand Foot Krutch have been enjoying the sounds of FM Static, the summery punk-pop side-project, since their 2003 debut. The counterpart has just announced the release of their third studio project "Dear Diary" on April 7, 2009 with Tooth & Nail Records. FM Static is composed of TFK singer-songwriter Trevor McNevan and drummer Steve Augustine, who both enjoy the fun, creative advantage of two monikers. Such an advantage they took this time around was creating a concept album with "Dear Diary." "This is the first concept album I've worked on, and it was a ton of fun," says McNevan, who has also penned hits for tobyMac and Hawk Nelson. "It felt theatrical from the start. I imagined this high school boy, new in town, writing through life's big questions about faith and fitting in as he grows up toward college. He's also falling in love for the first time with a girl from across the street and dealing with how crazy that can be. It's been a while since I was in high school, but I'm still enthralled with all of those politics." No doubt FM Static listeners will also be enthralled with the spot-on relatable happenings and character confessions of "Dear Diary," a project whose special story can only be unlocked as it happens, from song one to song ten. The story begins with a couple of self-explanatorily-titled rock tunes. "Boy Moves to a New Town with Optimistic Outlook" introduces the never-named star who hopes to find something or someone worth living for. "The Unavoidable Battle of Feeling on the Outside" drills into the psyche with a simple guitar riff and his simple social truth: I'm not an idiot, but I feel like one a lot. To its credit, FM Static conjures songs with a timeless, trend-immune pop sound that stretches McNevan and Augustine in their top-notch performances beyond anything they have previously recorded. Coupled with the concept album is the corresponding blog, from the central figure of the story "Aero." The recently launched blog "Aero's Diary" chronicles his journey through the CD aka his life. This blog gives a "real" life picture filled with sketches and stories about Aero's day to day.

Facedown Records Is "More Than Sound"
More Than Sound is Facedown's way of stepping up to being more than just a record label. Below is a letter from Head Honcho Jason Dunn explaining the heart behind More Than Sound.
"There's more to life than ourselves; more than our own worries and fears or our joys and triumphs. There's more to life then an economic crisis or a surplus in a budget. Every day, people die from lack of clean water, malaria or other treatable diseases. Every day, families are destroyed leaving children alone, abused or neglected. Every day, human beings are surrounded by war and devastation that tears their lives, homes and communities apart. More Than Sound is one small way that we can make a difference in the lives of the needy in the name of Jesus. To do our best to live out the good news of Christianity (James 1:27) to those that need it most. To use the resources we have as a community to make a global impact and to stop living our lives as those being served and start being servants like Jesus commanded us to be. (Matt. 20:26-28) Each month, we will be focusing on a different organization (Samaritan) that is making a difference in the world. A portion of all our online store sales will be donated to these organizations and we will also post links and information about each so that you can learn more about what these people are doing. We will also be sponsoring and organizing events that will have a focus on more than just the bands and the music. So make sure to check out the Events page as we update that and partner with bands and venues that want to focus on more than just music. If you want to suggest an organization that can benefit from More Than Sound, then please contact me. Thank you for joining us as we bring more to our world than just sound."

The Fallen News
The Fallen released their 11 song debut album “Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea. Upon completion of the debut album the band immediately headed back into the studio to work on the second release, "Between The Angels And The Deep Dark Sky" (Release date mid March). The Fallen is based on people's understanding of the world around them and their ability to change whatever they desire; in this case, a way to, "pick yourself up". Each song touches on the difficulties of life; yet presents a practical resolution to the problems we all face everyday. The 11 song debut album is quickly carving out its own niche in a sea of cookie cutter music. Each song on the album is unique and stands on its own musical merits. "We'll all fall down to get back up and fight"! This one lyric in the song, Our Lives, may best sum up the philosophy and the genesis of the band's music. Started in late 2005 as an experimental project between musicians Gabe Horning and Mark Bolger, and completed in late 2007 with the addition of drummer Dwight Sensenig and vocalist Audra McLaughlin. Horning and Bolger began writing songs while they were roommates at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. The duo, having quickly composed more than 20 songs, all written on acoustic guitar, had not yet added the remaining members of the band, when they had a chance meeting with Producer/Engineer Alphonse Faggiolo. Faggiolo met and heard the two performing at a friend’s barbecue and thought the material was strong enough to take to the production stage, and would be ideal to not only showcase the band but also his newly built studio. The idea was to piece together a project that had roots in metal, rock, acoustic, and ambient styles of music. They envisioned heavy guitar riffs, powerful drums, atmospheric keyboards and rich melodic vocals; a sound that would have an impact on one both mentally and physically. Horning had went to high school with drummer Dwight Sensenig and invited him to jam with the two at one of their many writing sessions. Upon hearing Dwight play, they instantly knew they had the rhythmic foundation of the sound that they were looking to create. Then, during the recording of the album, Faggiolo met 16 year old vocalist Audra McLaughlin and had brought Horning and Bolger in to be the songwriters on a separate album project for her. An instant chemistry developed among the group, and during the production process for McLaughlin's album, the team of Faggiolo, Bolger, and Horning made the decision to add her to The Fallen's lineup, knowing that her voice would add chills and purity to the band’s unique sound.

Bluetree Hits Billboard Top 200
Belfast, Ireland-based modern worship band Bluetree hits U.S. shores with its highly anticipated debut album, God Of This City. Releasing this week on the Lucid Artist label and already climbing to the top of the sales charts this week, the album hit No. 1 on the Christian Retail and Praise & Worship charts, and No. 125 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. “An Irish-invasion is happening this week!” exclaims Greg Lucid, Lucid Artist CEO referring to Bluetree and U2 albums released Tuesday. “Bluetree has crafted an album full of songs that are already being sung worldwide in churches and by music fans everywhere. With the album sales and growing success of the radio single, ‘God Of This City,’ I believe a new breakout band is on the horizon. As the lyrics to the album’s title song say, ‘Greater things are yet to come…’” Bluetree members have never been interested in writing feel-good worship songs that may incite a few goosebumps on Sunday morning, but don’t exactly inspire change and action once the church service has ended. And in this case, their own action led to the creation of a song that inspires both. Written by Bluetree during a mission trip and while the band was on stage performing worship songs in the Climax Bar, a club which doubles as a brothel in the Red Light district of Pattaya, Thailand, “God Of This City” became a message of hope for the people of Pattaya. “Growing up in Belfast means that we’ve grown used to people crying in church, begging God to change our city,” says Boyd. “I don’t know whether you become numb to it all, but I do know that I had never really had those kind of feelings for a particular place. It all changed that night in Pattaya. The feelings of compassion took over and I started just to sing out what I knew was true about who God is to the people of the city.” Resonating with people everywhere, the song has now also become an R&R Most Added hit single in the U.S. as scores of stations nationally begin playing the song. The song is also being sung in church services around the globe, was recorded by Chris Tomlin and Passion, and became the name and theme for the latest Passion project and world tour. Bluetree is all about being unique in a world that often reveres conformity. “If you’re in a forest and there’s nothing but green trees —everything being as you’d normally see it—but then you see a blue tree with blue bark, blue leaves, blue branches, well, it would catch your eye,” Boyd says. “And as Christians we’re called to stand out, to be different—like blue trees.”

Godtube.com Gets New Name & Becomes More "Social"
One of the worst recessions in years has activated a national return to faith, family values and hope above material consumerism. Today, the world’s largest faith and family based social network, tangle.com announced the launch of its new name and Web site which hosts more than 550,000 registered members. tangle.com is designed to appeal to one of the single largest audiences in America, the faith-based community and those seeking family friendly and safe content. tangle.com is a global technology company that creates social networking tools for the faith and family-friendly market and allows members to connect and share their faith and lives through videos, photos, blogs, music and more. Originally launched as GodTube.com, a video sharing site, it set the record as the fastest growing Web site in the U.S. during its first month of operation. The site grew rapidly and attracted up to 2.7 million users a month. tangle.com has expanded to become the go-to Web site for the family-friendly community to safely interact online through a full social network. “GodTube’s rapid success showed us that the faith-based audience needed an online haven to communicate with those across the country and around the world who share their faith and their values,” said the new CEO of tangle.com, Jason Illian. “We expanded the vision of the company to be more than just a video sharing platform and created tangle.com to give all people the ability to create deep, meaningful online relationships where they can support each other through these tough economic times. tangle.com enables people to connect their ‘brick and click’ worlds and focus on building real relationships – the kind of relationships that will keep people going when they lose their job or their home as millions of Americans are right now. The church has been social networking for hundreds of years – they just haven’t done it online. Now we are bringing it into the 21st century with tangle.com and offering the 2 Billion Christians around the world an entirely new way to connect.” The new features of tangle.com include:
· Multimedia sharing capabilities, including audio and video
· Individual, channel partner, and band profile pages
· Premium advertising opportunities
· New applications and widgets
· Contests and events
· Cross-platform content sharing tools, including sharing with Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, etc.
· Faith-based and family-friendly tools
tangle.com was pleased to add Dick Kovacevich, Chairman of Wells Fargo, to its Board of Directors in 2008. Commenting on his reasons for investing in the company, Mr. Kovacevich remarked, “Market trends for online usage, video, advertising, social networks and e-commerce continue to be strong. Additionally, tangle.com is a highly differentiated social network; tangle.com is family- friendly, ‘content-safe’ because content is reviewed before it is posted, the site has multiple revenue stream opportunities and was built from day one to be a commercial enterprise. As tangle.com adds more functionality, signs new business and content partnerships and enters the international and mobile markets, I believe tangle.com will be able to grow its metrics, revenues and profitability significantly in 2009 and beyond. “ tangle.com serves as a digital compliment that facilitates families, organizations, bands, groups, and individuals to connect online to share their hopes, dreams and stories 24/7. Members can access a range of content and information from music to collaborative humanitarian projects. tangle.com takes it a step further than many other social networks by generating real world relationships –and is a community that mobilizes and takes action to help improve the lives of others through charitable projects and a wide array of outreach initiatives. tangle.com offers a protected, family-friendly social network with material suitable for all ages. With access to the latest videos and content from more than 2,200 bands, members can upload and share a wide variety of family-friendly music videos and music clips for free, including rock, rap/hip-hop and numerous emerging bands. Featured videos include artists such as the Jonas Brothers, Switchfoot, Jeremy Camp, Jennifer Hudson, Toby Mac and many more chart-topping musicians. Comedy videos and comedy skits are also available, including those from family-friendly comedians such as Tim Hawkins, Michael Jr, and The Skit Guys. Emerging artists such as Travis Ryan are working to build a following and have tracked more hits on tangle.com than on MySpace – since they are connecting directly with a target audience eager for their material. In addition to individual, band and group pages, tangle.com also features ministry pages to facilitate relationships between ministry partners and churches worldwide. All submitted content to tangle.com is monitored and approved by a Community Care Agent prior to content being posted live on the Web site.

Michael Tait To Join Newsboys
After 22 years and more than 2000 shows, newsboys frontman Peter Furler will no longer front the band in concert. Michael Tait will be touring with the band as lead singer with Peter making special appearances throughout the year. Peter will continue with the band and his trademark songwriting and production will remain as he focuses his professional career toward future newsboys recordings. Michael has been on the road with the band over the past weeks working alongside Peter in what has been a positive and enjoyable experience for both parties. It has been a graceful process that both Peter and Michael have worked through as they prepare to make the change in the coming weeks. Peter states “newsboys to me has always been a mission, and I entrust Mike, Jeff, Jody and Duncan to continue all that is in store for us as a band. I’m looking forward to focusing on the band’s studio career and spending time in my own bed after many years in a tour bus and hundreds of thousands of miles on the road.” Wes Campbell, newsboys manager explains, “While the decision to replace Peter on the road was a painstaking one, when the idea of dc Talk vocalist Michael Tait was presented it was a no-brainer to all of us. No one can replace Peter, but we know Michael will bring a new attitude, energy and vocal style that will thrill our audience. To be able to continue a world class show and still have Peter behind the scenes guiding the career and making of newsboys music is a huge opportunity for all of us. It’s amazing that after many years of touring with dc Talk in the 1990s that in 2009 our paths would cross once again. It’s an exciting time for all of us.” “For years, dc Talk and newsboys have been family and thus shared the same loyal and adoring fans, says Michel Tait. “When I received the initial call from newsboys to consider joining the band as lead singer, I was speechless! I immediately sought wise counsel and flooded the heavens with endless prayers for insight and vision, and I soon received a clear and definite peace. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to perform my first show as newsboys’ frontman to an audience of 12,000 people. I was completely wrapped in love and support by newsboys’ fans, who are clearly the best fans on the planet. Now I know this is exactly where I belong in this new and wonderful moment in my life’s history. This is a definite highlight of my career and for my 20+ years of walking with Jesus, and I am humbled, proud and privileged to call myself a newsboy.” In the coming days Peter will be releasing a personal statement on the band’s website in more detail. The band has recently finished recording its new studio album, In The Hands Of God, which features Peter as lead vocalist on the entire album. Street date for this record is May 5th.

Bombworks Records Signs Seventh Angel
Bombworks Records is excited to announce the signing of recently reformed Seventh Angel. A stalwart in the late 80's / early 90's UK thrash scene, Seventh Angel released several demos and supported them successfully on the live circuit. The last of these demos, "Heed the Warning", was released to CD along with a collection of live tracks by Bombworks Records in 2005. The demos eventually led to the band receiving a label deal and subsequently releasing 2 full-length albums, thrash classic "The Torment" and the thrash / doom melding of "Lament for the Weary". After the release of "Lament..." and some extensive touring in the UK as well as dates in The Netherlands and Germany, the band split and went their separate ways at the end of 1992. The line up of the newly reformed Seventh Angel consists of original members Ian Arkley on vocals / guitars, Simon Bibby on vocals / guitars, Andrew "Tank" Thompson on drums, and Mark Broomhead of Detritus fame on bass/vocals. Already with festival showings in The Netherlands and Norway over the past year, the band is ready to unleash a new set of crushing tunes on a new generation, showcasing the same classic thrash sound with a larger death and doom influence. Seventh Angel will be entering the studio in late March to record their first studio album since the release of "Lament for the Weary" and will be holding true to their doom-infused thrash metal sound. The title of the new full length will be "The Dust of Years" and will be released summer of 2009 on Bombworks Records as a deluxe digipak. Artwork will be handled by Matt Vickerstaff of Darkwave Art , who has also done artwork for the last releases from My Dying Bride and My Silent Wake, and he is currently doing artwork for upcoming Bombworks Records' releases from Lament and Bloodline Severed. The band will be recording with Greg Chandler at Priory Recording Studios in the UK.
