Haste The Day Releases New Video
Haste the Day has announced that they have debut the music video for “Mad Man” on their myspace site. This is the band’s first video from Dreamer. “It’s more or less a performance video. We’re playing inside of paintings that were done by Outsider Art.” Singer Steven Keech commented about the video. “All of the paintings in the video were created by autistic artists, including Adolf Wolfli, Scottie Wilson, and Henry Darger.” The band has also announced that after reaching 30,000 copies in the US, Dreamer will be released in Canada by EMI Canada on April 21st. The album has found great praise among the media, Soul Audio said, “Haste the Day’s Dreamer is a poignantly brutal.” Indie Vision Music agreed, saying “They’ve put guttural screaming, beautiful harmonies, brutal drumming, and sweeping guitars in a big smelting pot to craft an epic album with just the right touch of everything.” In support of the album’s tentative release in South Africa, Haste the Day has announced that they will tour in South Africa from May 4th through May 17th.

August Burns Red Recording New Album
AUGUST BURNS RED'S steady climb up the ranks of metal's future pioneers began with an auspicious start via the release of 2007's Messengers, an album which not only debuted at number 81 on the Billboard Top 200, but has gone on to sell 76,000+ copies since its release. Even as AUGUST BURNS RED celebrates its breakthrough with the release of a collection of B-sides and Outtakes from the Messengers sessions entitled Lost Messengers: The Outtakes – in stores now – the band simultaneously looks forward as it begins recording the as-of-yet untitled third full-length album with producer Jason Suecof, the man behind the curtain of heralded albums by bands like SEVENDUST, ALL THAT REMAINS, GOD FORBID and TRIVIUM. ABR prepared Lost Messengers as a record for the diehard fans, a mix of new songs, cover songs (such as the band’s well-known take on “Carol Of The Bells,” which was utilized heavily in television and online spots for Frank Miller’s (300, Sin City) film The Spirit) and unheard production demos, all wrapped up in a package containing hand-written notes from the band explaining the thought process and/or lyrical content behind each song, further personalizing the connection between band and fan. With its next full-length release, AUGUST BURNS RED looks forward to welcoming even more friends and listeners into the fold. To that end, AUGUST BURNS RED is currently streaming the behind-the-scenes goings-on as it records its new album at Suecoff's "Audio Hammer" studio in Orlando, FL, which can be streamed here. "Stickam has been a great tool for allowing fans to check in our progress,” explains guitarist JB Brubaker. “It's one more way to help break down the disconnect that is usually there between band and fans, and that is something that is making this process even more exciting!” It's not just the band that is excited either. Over 500 fans are currently following the band’s activities in the studio – a noteworthy point when considering the relative newness of ABR’s Stickam site. Never ones to take a breather, ABR will be making two high-profile appearances while recording the forthcoming full-length, first at the Dubai Desert Rock Festival in the United Arab Emirates on March 6 – performing alongside the likes of MOTÖRHEAD, ARCH ENEMY and OPETH – followed by the renowned New England Metal and Hardcore Fest in Worcester, MA on April 17 – alongside giants like ALL THAT REMAINS, LAMB OF GOD and NAPALM DEATH.

Bombworks Records Signs Divulgence
Bombworks Records announces the signing of Divulgence. Hailing from Greenville, SC, Divulgence roars onto the scene with a base of thrash spiced up with black metal and an occasional death metal leaning to bring a fresh sound to the extreme metal world. The band is very young, with each member 18 years old or less, but the band knows how to bring the metal and supply rifftastic technicality amidst speedy brutality. The band has been playing together for nearly 1 year and recently recorded a 3-song demo which garnered the attention of Bombworks Records. The band has an intense live show and will be seen at the Bombworks' sponsored Day of Metal Stage at Cornerstone Festival in July. Divulgence is writing more material and has plans to record a full length later this year. With influences as wide-ranging as Carcass, Arsis, Crimson Moonlight, Antestor, 1349, and Living Sacrifice, Divulgence is ready to represent the new generation of extreme metal.
