Starflyer 59's Debut Album To Be Released On Vinyl
15 years after its initial groundbreaking release, Starflyer 59's seminal debut full-length is finally being reissued on vinyl for the very first time! Starflyer 59 made their name by being one of the very first bands signed to then-fledgling record label Tooth & Nail records over 15 years ago. Since then, they've released 11 studio albums, 7 eps, and countless singles, live recordings, and compilation tracks. They've established a cult following like no other after years of touring and releasing one critically acclaimed album after the next. Crossroads of America Records is proud to be reissuing a limited edition of 500, 180g LPs, cut from the original master recordings, of their debut, self-titled album from 1994.

Copeland Announces Headlining Tour
Florida indie rockers Copeland have announced a US headlining tour to kick off in Athens, GA on April 2nd, 2009. This Providence, Paper Route and Brooke Wagoner will be joining them. The tour supports the band’s latest release You Are My Sunshine out now Tooth and Nail Records. You Are My Sunshine is a rich playground of sound unfolding into layers of angelic tenor, driving guitars, experimental backdrops and rousing lyrics (some of which can be found in an elaborate maze the band has recently confused web goers with). The production team of Aaron Sprinkle (Eisley, Anberlin, Pedro the Lion), Copeland vocalist Aaron Marsh, and mixer Michael Brauer (Coldplay, John Mayer, My Morning Jacket) joined forces with Tooth and Nail and the result is a brilliant 11-song collection. Originally formed in 2000, Copeland released their label debut Beneath Medicine Tree via The Militia Group in 2003, and In Motion in 2005. In 2006, the band signed with Columbia Records to release Eat, Sleep, Repeat and followed up with Dressed Up & In Line, a 2007 album of B-sides and rarities.

Collective Soul Working On New Album
Multi-Platinum rockers Collective Soul, who recently signed a worldwide deal with Loud & Proud Records/Roadrunner Records, have begun work on their 8th studio release, the first release for the label. The band has been hard at work in frontman Ed Roland’s lake house studio for the past few weeks, working on the follow up to 2007’s Afterwords. Renowned for their ability to write supremely crafted smash hits, the band is wasting no time in creating a new batch of tunes fit to replicate all of their past successes. The band are currently featured on the multi platinum selling soundtrack for Twilight. ‘Tremble For My Beloved’ from the album Dosage is also featured in the film. Roland says, “We are only 2 weeks in to the recording of our new album and feel more like a band than ever. It’s reflected in the music, which we all think is our best material to date.” No strangers to charitable initiatives, Collective Soul is confirmed to headline a special benefit concert for the Save Darfur Coalition, a global organization that represents 130 million people worldwide who have united together to help the victims of Darfur. The concert will take place on Friday, March 27th at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. In discussing the benefit concert, Roland notes, “As the atrocities continue in Darfur, Collective Soul are honored to lend our voices, along with the youth of Atlanta, to something we feel very strongly about. We continue to educate not only ourselves but the community.” Globally known for mega-hits such as “Shine,” “December” and “The World I Know,” Collective Soul hails from Atlanta, GA and has produced 7 #1 singles and sold over 10 million records. The band broke into mainstream popularity with their 1993 debut album Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid. The group’s self-titled second album arrived the following year and logged a 76-week run on the Billboard Top 200. 1999’s critically acclaimed Dosage saw Collective Soul further its run as rock radio superstars. The first single "Heavy" set a new high mark for 15-weeks at #1 on the Mainstream Rock chart. “Tremble For My Beloved” also appears on the gold-certified soundtrack for the hit film Twilight. The new album is expected summer 2009.

Mat Kearney Set To Release City Of Black & White
Inpop/Aware/Columbia Records singer-songwriter Mat Kearney will release his third studio project, City of Black & White, on May 19, 2009. Following the success of Nothing Left To Lose, Kearney returns with an album of evolved sound and a world of new experiences. Winding down a whirlwind five years on the road as a new artist, Kearney recently settled into his new hometown of Nashville, TN. It is there that he found the songs for City of Black & White, opening up the writing process to friends and local musicians, crafting songs such as “Fire and Rain,” “Here We Go” and the album’s lead single, “Closer To Love,” going for adds at Christian AC and CHR radio on March 20. “Inpop first discovered Mat Kearney in 2004, and it is thrilling to see how far Mat has come,” says Shara Katerberg-Hsu, director of marketing for Inpop Records. “Due to our partnership with Aware/Columbia, City of Black & White will be available in Christian retail stores as well as in mainstream and digital outlets, with Inpop handling all Christian market radio promotions, publicity and marketing." Kearney initially sprung onto the music scene in 2004 with Bullet, his first national release and label debut on Inpop Records. Bullet spawned the hit song “Undeniable,” which broke a record for largest number of out-of-the-box radio adds on R&R’s Christian CHR chart. His following grew rapidly in both Christian and mainstream music circles, grabbing the attention of Aware Records, label home to John Mayer, Train and Five For Fighting. Kearney and Inpop Records inked a general-market partnership with Aware/Columbia Records in 2005. Kearney released his sophomore project, Nothing Left To Lose, in 2006, garnering him Dove Awards for New Artist of the Year as well as Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song (“Trainwreck”). The album has scanned nearly 400,000 copies to date. Songs from the album have received prominent licensing placements on popular shows including Grey’s Anatomy,” “Bones,” and “Friday Night Lights.” Kearney has toured with John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, The Fray and Jason Mraz. He was additionally featured as a VH1 You Oughta Know artist and headlined the first VH1 “You Oughta Know” tour. Tour plans for 2009 are currently underway.
