Flyleaf leaves Seether tour
A&M/Octone platinum selling artist FLYLEAF regrettably steps off the remaining five dates of their co-headlining tour. Lead vocalist Lacey Mosley has been battling vocal complications due to strain and physicians have advised that she take this time to rest her voice and recuperate.
“I’m very sorry about having to cancel the last 5 shows of our tour with Seether,” says Mosely. “It makes me so sad when I think about all the people I have let down. I love you all so much, and thank you for being so amazing to us. We will do our best to take better care of ourselves next time so that we won’t have to cancel any more shows.” The third single “All Around Me” is currently climbing the charts at Top 40 radio, also ranking in at #18 and charting at # 17 on the Vh1 Top 20 Countdown. Paramore has one "Final Riot!"
Fueled By Ramen recording group Paramore has revealed details of their upcoming live schedule. The Grammy-nominated punk-pop quartet will embark on “The Final RIOT! – Paramore Summer Tour ’08,” beginning on July 28th at Reno, Nevada’s Grand Sierra Theatre. Accompanying Paramore on the road will be a star-studded lineup featuring such artists as Jack’s Mannequin, Fueled By Ramen’s own Phantom Planet, and Paper Route. “The Final RIOT! – Paramore Summer Tour ’08” will travel North America through an August 30th finale at the Chevrolet Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut. In addition to “The Final RIOT! – Paramore Summer Tour ’08,” the Tennessee-based band will also appear at a number of upcoming summer festivals, including Tulsa’s DFest Music Conference & Festival on July 25th; Channel 93.3’s Big Gig at Englewood, Colorado’s Fiddlers Green Amphitheatre on July 26th; the Virgin Festival 2008 at Baltimore’s Pimlico Race Course on August 10th; and Seattle’s annual Bumbershoot Festival on September 1st. Paramore will also find time in their jam-packed schedule to join John Mayer for two very special dates, details of which will be announced shortly. Pre-sale ticketing for the headline dates will be made available to members of the Official Paramore Fan Club on Wednesday, May 28th. All remaining tickets will then be released to the general public, beginning Friday, May 30th. Paramore has traveled nearly non-stop since the release of last year’s RIAA gold-certified second album, “RIOT!” The Tennessee-based band has just wrapped up its spring co-headline itinerary with Jimmy Eat World, having also found time for festival appearances such as the Bamboozle and Bamboozle Left, as well as the UK’s annual Give It A Name. In June, they will return to Europe for a number of headline dates and further festival slots, including such world-renowned gatherings as Germany’s Rock am Ring and Sweden’s Hultsfred Festival. The band’s summer schedule will officially begin on June 30th with Milwaukee’s yearly Summerfest celebrations. That will be followed by an eagerly awaited slate of mainstage appearances on the upcoming Vans Warped Tour (July 1 – 6), the band’s fourth consecutive year on the tour. “RIOT!” made an explosive chart entry upon its June 2007 release.Boasting two top 5 Modern Rock radio hits in “Misery Business” and “Crushcrushcrush,” the album quickly went on to achieve RIAA gold certification, with sales now over 880,000. An array of accolades followed, including a “Best New Artist” nod at this year’s 50th Annual Grammy Awards and “Band of the Year” honors from Alternative Press. “That’s What You Get,” the album’s latest single, is currently impacting at multi-format radio outlets nationwide, including Top 40, Modern Rock, and Hot AC. The track’s companion video – directed by Marcos Siega (blink-182, All-American Rejects, Weezer) – is now in rotation at MTV2, MTV Hits, Music Choice and FUSE, having recently hit #1 on the iTunes Store’s “Alternative Video” chart.

Superchick releases Rock What You Got
Inpop Records’ sister-fronted rock band Superchick prepares for the June 24 release of Rock What You Got, its first new studio project in three years. Produced by the band’s own Max Hsu (Superchick, tobyMac, newsboys), Rock What You Got finds Superchick honing a “rock-o-tronic” sound, an electro-punk mash-up of slashing guitars, pulsing keyboards and grit-pop vocals. Superchick will offer an exclusive preview of the new full-length project via a digital EP at iTunes beginning today. The Rock What You Got EP includes Superchick’s lead radio singles, “Crawl (Carry Me Through),” “Hold” and “Hey Hey.” Add date for the singles was Friday, May 16, marking the first time in Inpop Record’s history that the label simultaneously serviced three singles from one artist to three different radio formats: “Crawl” to AC radio, “Hold” to CHR radio and “Hey Hey” to Rock radio. “I believe Rock What You Got will be the stand-out release of 2008,” comments Dale Bray, Inpop Records president. “Its artistry and production are simply brilliant, and it raises the bar for our industry. Superchick has worked hard for many years and are due the regards and accolades this album will surely bring.” With songs as powerful in the quiet moments as in the anthems, Rock What You Got proves capable of this triple radio lead. The CHR power ballad “Hold” cries, “I need a hand to hold, to hold me from the edge” over a cloud of pianos, violins and electric guitars. The stirring AC confessional “Crawl (Carry Me Through)” offers a softer yet no less dramatic prayer for strength. Meanwhile, “Hey Hey” is a rock rallying call with fiery guitar chords, defiant attitude and female gang vocals that challenge, “Why kiss the feet of the people who kick you?” While Superchick’s last album Beauty From Pain sought to empathize with listeners’ pain, band members have walked their own dark, lonely roads the past few years with painful relationship splits and cancer touching four of their families. Rather than expound upon these personal hardships, Superchick turned Rock What You Got into a battle cry to charge onward. “This album is about empowerment and hope,” says bassist Matt Dally. “Don’t be afraid to cross the lines that people put up to limit you when you know you are better than that.” A band that puts fans first, Superchick is currently offering a free download of the song “Alive” at inpop.com/superchicklovesyou and will kick off the “Rock What You Got” fall tour in September with special guests Stellar Kart, Article One and Starlit Platoon.

Edison Glass opens for Paramore and tours
A couple months ago, one of the year’s greatest commercial success, Paramore, revealed to UK outlet Rocklouder that Edison Glass was its “Tip for 2008”. The bands will finally hook up this summer at D Fest in Tulsa, OK. Edison Glass will open for Paramore on Saturday night at the main stage. Edison Glass is currently on the road with fellow buzz bands Nightmare Of You and Paper Rival. The extensive tour, which is being called the “Bang Tour”, hits Stubbs BBQ in Austin, TX on June 7th. The Working Title will join Edison Glass on the road in mid-June. If you don’t know who Paramore is, you probably don’t know who The Beatles are either. OK, that might be an overstatement, but seriously, Paramore is just about everywhere these days. The band’s drummer, Zac Farro, recently gave Edison Glass a pretty huge nod in an interview with UK publication Rocklouder by selecting them as their ‘Tip for 2008’, saying “They’re awesome, and really exciting”. That’s an endorsement if we’ve ever heard one! Read more of Paramore’s kind words for Edison Glass here. Edison Glass is also the first artist ever to embark on a new Fender Guitars Tour Diary feature. The band will be keeping a video diary of its antics on the road starting with its trip to Austin for SXSW.

Seventh Angel reforms
Influential British metal band Seventh Angel has announced that they have reformed. The band, who were label mates with the likes of Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, are working on a new, yet unnamed studio album and are set to hit the festival circuit later this year. Seventh Angel is quoted by many of today’s top artists as being a massive influence and pioneers of their genre. Each member of the band has been on their own musical and spiritual journey since the split, and the reformation brings us a band of increased depth and maturity, with all the musical intensity that made Seventh Angel such an international success. Before their split Seventh Angel produced two highly acclaimed internationally released studio albums and continued interest in the band prompted the release of early demos and live recordings in 2005. Throughout their career Seventh Angel were the focus of much media attention, within the music press and beyond, appearing on the BBC, Channel Four and featured in the Daily Telegraph. International touring and festival appearances fed a loyal following who still eagerly await the news that Seventh Angel is back!
Since October's "This is my Heart" Out Today
Being humbled through life's experiences, the Florida natives, who call themselves Since October, release their national label debut on Tooth&Nail Records. Their musical unveiling, This is My Heart, releases today, following the successful debut digital single, "Disaster," which is currently charting on the rock chart. Produced by Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Pillar, Disciple), This is My Heart is an honest and vulnerable musical portrait Since October hopes that listeners grab hold from the collection of heavy rock songs with no hidden agenda beyond connecting the hearts of those that listen. In addition, Marcos Curiel, guitarist of P.O.D. co-produced and co-wrote two tracks on the debut. "I was really excited that Since October asked me to be involved in their record," shares Marcos Curiel. "We had a great time in the studio and the music sounds fantastic. When I think of Since October, I think great band, great bunch of guys, gators tots and good orange juice...not to mention straight ahead, melodic hard rock - with sunshine all over it!" Frontman and lyricist Ben Graham shares, "It's truth. It's real life stories. And this record is a part of me. And probably a part of me that most people would never see if I could not put it to music, it's honest. It's just rock n' roll. We love big melodies, we love harmonies, throw in a little screaming and that's Since October." Though this is the band's first label release, these four Bradenton, Florida stalwarts are far from freshmen. They sold more than 5,000 copies of an independent release prior to signing to Tooth&Nail, and have toured extensively during the two-year stretch that has led them up to this point. Having shared the stage with Seventh Day Slumber, Pillar, Disciple, Decyfer Down, and Underoath, they are more than gearing up for the hundreds of shows that are soon to follow. Since October also just finished touring with Seventh Day Slumber throughout the spring. Not only have these four men experienced life's ups and downs, two of them share the same last name: vocalist/frontman Ben Graham and guitarist Luke Graham; Josh Johnson, bass and Audie Grantham, drums complete the band. We want to be successful enough to stay on the road and continue to do what we love," says Graham. "We don't want to get bogged down with anything except our primary purpose and vision: To encourage people with our music. We would love to change lives along the way, and provide therapy for the listener."

Cindy Morgan's new album now online
With her first venture into producing her own record, Cindy Morgan seems to have found her niche. ChristianMusicToday.com calls her brand new album ‘Beautiful Bird’, “hands down, the best album of Cindy Morgan's career, offering her strongest, most consistent batch of songs while continuing to demonstrate an ear for solid pop craftsmanship.” 'Beautiful Bird’ returns Morgan to her Appalachian roots, and is a mix of all the musical styles Morgan has been a fan of. It is a mix of Pop, Appalachia,Country, and Symphonic. In her own words Morgan says," I can’t choose the cello over the doboro so I wanted to make a record where they could live together. I am also a great admirer and pursuer of the art of writing a great country song. A lot of the lyrics are from that approach." Morgan explains her choice to self-produce “I have produced my own demos for years and spent the better part of my adult life in a studio but until now, hadn’t felt completely ready for such a task. I have been so fortunate to work with so many great producers over the years. For the last couple of years, there has been a little voice in my head telling me to step out and stand on my own two creative feet. So that is what I decided to do. I headed up the production of this record but certainly not without a lot of help on the technical side of things from my engineer and co-producer Stephen Leiweke” . (Jars Of Clay, Margaret Becker, Kids In The Way) Morgan is releasing ‘Beautiful Bird’ exclusively in digital format through her website and iTunes as well as other hand picked online outlets. “The wonderful thing about doing a record like this is that you throw the rule book out the window… it really leaves the creative spirit free to let each song and the record as a whole be what it is without boundaries that often squash the creative process.” [Note from Editor: For those that aren't aware, Cindy Morgan's music is way deeper and way beyond the ccm style that her first couple albums displayed. Think genuine, rich, lyrics and contemplative playing.]
