Thank You

I was watching a famous television preacher this week. He spoke about being thankful. He said that seeds of discouragement can not take root in a thankful heart.

It is easy to be discouraged, but it is much better to be thankful.

When you stop and think about it, all of us have plenty to be thankful for....

Here is my list:
I AM THANKFUL FOR...
Life, every breath is another chance for a new experience.
My youth and good looks.
Whatever hair still attached to my head.
My witty sense of humor.
My beautiful wife and kids.
My mother, father, and brother, my sisters-in-law, my nephews and nieces, fathers and mothers-in-law, and all family.
My friends.
My awesome rock band, Day of Fire.
My home in Nashville.
My minivan.
Music and the ability to write, perform, and listen to it.
Mercy from God and most of the people around me.
Food.
The ability to exercise and lose weight after eating too much food.
I do not have a dog or cat yet (though I feel the pressure daily from my wife and kids).
I live in the United States with freedom to worship, speak, and work.
The United States Military who defend this freedom.
The love and power of God to redeem someone like me.
The opportunity to tour with my awesome rock band, Day of Fire.
HM online magazine, and all of its readers.
My management company, producer, booking agent, business managers, future record label, and attorneys.
Stone Temple Pilots, Sound Garden and all wonderful bands I grew up listening to.

This is my short list. We should all write down a list like this and thank God daily for His continuous grace and creativity. Look around, you have a lot to be thankful for.

I am so thankful for many things and this helps to remind me of the little things to also be thankful for. I believe we should live each day as it were our last and appreciate every good thing that comes across our path.
