My Language: Thoughts from Josh Brown of Day of Fire

Its Not Over
Scripture tells us that God's power is made perfect in our weakness.
The bottom is not a bad place to be if you know you are there.
It is at the bottom that you finally realize the only way to help yourself is to ask for help.
It is at the bottom that you come face to face with your own loneliness, only to find that you are alone with God, which is not alone at all.
It becomes a dangerous place only when we deceive ourselves into thinking we can dig our own way out, using our own will power, skill, or intelligence.
When we realize our hope can no longer be in ourselves, or in things, the bottom becomes a place of new beginning.
A place where we can finally own up to our failure and then let it go in the same breath.
A place where we can truly make peace with God.
So no matter what you face, no matter what the bottom looks like to you, realize every breath is another chance to get it right. Another chance to ask Jesus on the scene.
