Edison Glass Hit The Road With Blindside
Long Island, NY’s own Edison Glass have been the be main support for Blindside in the U.S. since October 1 in Philadelphia. Edison Glass, named for the hypothetical collaboration of Thomas Alva Edison and composer Philip Glass, began making music together as teens in 1999. In 2006 the band released their debut album A Burn Or A Shiver on Credential Recordings. Their latest release is Let Go, an EP available on iTunes. Edison Glass has logged countless hours on the road honing their skills with a variety of bands including Ivory and Mae. They couldn’t be more excited to head out as main support for Blindside. “I am brushing up on my Swedish as we speak,” laughs singer/guitarist Joshua Silverberg. “Seriously, we’ve all have been huge fans for a very long time. In fact, Mountain (co-lead singer/bass player) proudly wore a Blindside hoodie to high school almost everyday. He even bleached a Blindside logo into his black backpack. Touring with them will be very surreal. I can't wait.” The band is set to release their second full-length album, Time Is Fiction, in February 2008 on Credential Recordings. Edison Glass has a band phone number that they freely give out to their friends and fans. If anyone dials (917) 338-3878 from their mobile phone they’ll get a personally returned call from the band well as regular text and voice mail updates. Check out more information on the band’s website at myspace.com/edisonglass or edisonglass.com

Red Re-Release End Of Silence
Anyone that's seen The Myriad opening for the David Crowder Band on their current tour is no doubt impressed ... and chomping at the bit for their full-length release next spring. They were selected out of a few thousand bands to be one of the MTV2 Mountain Dew “Dew Circuit Breakout” bands. 12 bands are left, and they are still in it. The top 6 bands have MTV come and shoot them on the road. The final 3 bands get to play in Times Square on New Years Eve and the top band gets automatically added to MTV and M2’s rotation. Sweet, eh? This contest broke bands like Hawthorne Heights, Taking Back Sunday, hellogoodbye...so it’s the real deal... You can vote at this site.
One Star Story Gets Some Help From Christian
The band One Star Story is super stoked to say that Stephen Christian (Anberlin) has been working with the band and produced some of their new stuff. Stephen met up with the band a few weeks ago and produced 12 tracks over a weekend. "The man is amazing!" Three of those are now up for listening. They are demos and will not be released aside from the band's Myspace page. The band is still label shopping and talking to labels. They'll be on part of the tour with Jonah 33 this month, and spot dates in the midwest, also. Take a listen and see what you think. Keep in mind they are just demos, not studio recordings. Thanks for your time.
Until June Plays Showcase for NBC Studios
On October 2, Until June played a private showcase for the music staff of NBC Studios and independent music supervisors at the offices of NBC in Los Angeles. Alicen Schneider, VP of Music and Creative Services for NBC, said this of the visit, “It’s rare that a band makes me so enthusiastic that I practically begged the label to allow me to showcase them in our offices. Until June exhibits a pop sensibility that is nearly extinct these days and, paired along with oodles of charm, they’re destined to have a similar impact on anyone that is lucky enough to cross their paths!” For more information on Until June, visit untiljune.com.

Nevertheless Hits The Road
Since their debut release, Live Like We’re Alive, Nevertheless has received critical acclaim from the media and gained fans along the way as they have toured relentlessly for the past year and half. Nevertheless is preparing for an action packed fall with two back to back tours: the Drifter Tour and Punk the Halls Tour. The band is also making plans for their 2008 sophomore follow-up as they are writing and working on demos when they are not on the road. Drifter Tour: Nevertheless will join headliner December Radio beginning next week October 11th in Allendalem, MI and continuing through November 18th in Snellville, GA. Also performing each night is Bread of Stone and Super Hero. Tour dates below. Punk the Halls Tour: This holiday fun-filled tour will feature headliners Stellar Kart with Nevertheless as direct support. Other bands featured each night will be Our Hearts Hero, Manafest, and labelmates Eleventyseven. The tour kicks off November 24th in Bartlesville, OK and concludes December 22nd in Cincinnati, OH. Tour dates below. In addition to their touring and preparing for the new project, lead singer Josh Pearson took time out to wed his sweetheart Amy in Orlando, Florida this August 18th. Band members stood up with the happy couple as groomsmen for the special occasion. See attached photo of the couple, band mates, and manager Zach Kelm of Q Management. It is determination that gives NEVERTHELESS an asterisk amidst their contemporaries in indie pop/rock. At first listen they would fit nicely in the vein of such bands as Jimmy Eat World and Cartel, except for one difference: Their songs deal in as much substance as they do in relationship experience. On their label debut Live Like We’re Alive (Flicker Records 2006), the band delivered diversity in emotion as well as depth in empathy. At the heart of the album is an energy created by a dynamic between high and low, verse and chorus. They have received ink in the likes of Billboard, CCM, Blogcritics.com, Decoymusic.com, PunkUnited.com, HM Magazine and many more.

UNDEROATH’s AARON GILLESPIE SIDELINED WITH MINOR INJURY
As UNDEROATH cross the U.S. on their headlining fall tour with Every Time I Die, Poison The Well and Maylene & the Sons of Disaster, they encountered an unexpected challenge at Sunday night’s show in Las Vegas. While in Las Vegas, UNDEROATH drummer/vocalist AARON GILLESPIE had to undergo emergency surgery to treat an infection in his hand. In order to avoid canceling a slew of tour dates (including some high-profile shows), the band enlisted the help of drummer Kenny Bozich--a long-time fan of UNDEROATH who was recruited by GILLESPIE to join his solo project The Almost. Luck was on UNDEROATH’s side, as they had to track down Bozich while he was hiking in the mountains of Utah. Bozich left the mountains with just enough time catch a flight to Las Vegas that landed 25-minutes before UNDEROATH would take the stage Sunday night at the House of Blues. The band texted Bozich a set list and he listened to the songs nonstop on the flight. The group and Bozich had less than 5-minutes to talk before they took the stage, the band and Bozich managed to still play a strong 40-minute set. All the day-of-show action including the surgery on AARON’s hand was captured by the video crew currently traveling with UNDEROATH for a documentary and concert film on the band and their current headlining tour. At the forthcoming October 28 show in Philadelphia, fans can expect a major multi camera shoot. Expect this live CD/DVD to hit shelves early next year. In the meantime, UNDEROATH guitarist TIM MCTAGUE and lead vocalist SPENCER CHAMBERLAIN are taking over GILLESPIE’s vocals for the time being while he adheres to the doctor’s orders to take the week off to rest his hand before rejoining his bandmates on tour in Portland on October 9th. The critically acclaimed Florida sextet UNDEROATH--rounded out by bassist GRANT BRANDELL, keyboardist CHRISTOPHER DUDLEY and guitarist JAMES SMITH--are currently on the road for a 37-city fall headlining tour in support of their juggernaut, gold-certified third album DEFINE THE GREAT LINE (Tooth & Nail/Solid State). High profile stops include The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Friday, October 5 and the Nokia Theatre-Times Square in New York City on Wednesday, October 24.

The Almost Touring With Paramore and The Starting Line
Label mates The Almost and The Starting Line will tour with Paramore this fall. Both bands have been touring relentlessly since the release of their respective albums - Southern Weather and Direction - earlier this year, including slots on the Vans Warped tour, which Paramore played as well. After wrapping up its current series of dates, The Starting Line will head to Sayerville, NJ for the tour's launch on October 23rd. The Almost will join the tour on November 11th after lead vocalist Aaron Gillespie completes a tour with his other band, Underoath. Released April 3rd via Virgin/Tooth & Nail, Southern Weather, The Almost's debut album, rocketed on to the Billboard 200 at #29. First single "Say This Sooner" was a Top 10 hit at Alternative radio and the accompanying video, directed by Shane Drake (Panic At the Disco, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus), received massive play at MTV, MTV2, mtvU, Music Choice, The IMF and FUSE. Drake returned to lens the video for the title track, which goes to radio on September 24th. (The Starting Line's Kenny Vasoli plays bass on "Southern Weather.") The band - comprised of Gillespie, Jay Vilardi (guitar), Dusty Redmon (guitar), Alex Aponte (bass) and Kenny Bozich (drums) - was the subject of an "On the verge" feature in USA Today and Gillespie appears on the cover of this month's Alternative Press, which praised the album's "addictive guitar anthems sporting infectious hooks and giant choruses." "Gillespie wails on the sort of hard-charging anthems that will probably make Switchfoot seethe with jealousy," said Spin in a three-and-a-half star review while DRUM! noted the album is "a very personal and very seamless journey through an emotional landscape that can't be anything but honest…Gillespie shows no fear in laying himself open." Playing in two bands gives Gillespie precious little free time, but inveterate multi-tasker that he is, Aaron recently founded Pig Cloth, a limited edition t-shirt company, with his wife Jamie. Their first two designs, sold via zambooie.com, sold out in 48 hours, but be sure to check out myspace.com/pigcloth for news of future offerings.

Red Re-Release End Of Silence
Dove Award-winning, rock band Red announces the November 13, 2007 release of End of Silence: Deluxe Edition, a two-disc (CD/DVD) set which comprises the band’s GRAMMY-nominated debut album, including a dramatic, never-before-heard, acoustic version of “Lost”, along with a DVD that will visually bring the live Red experience to all. The DVD will feature Red’s ever-intense live concert, filmed at a private, August 2007 show in the band’s hometown of Nashville, Tenn., for “Red Nation”, an online army of Red’s most devoted fans. The set includes the band’s new, rock radio single, “Let Go”; the Top 10 Active Rock (mainstream) Radio hit, “Breathe Into Me”; an acoustic version of “Pieces”, a song rarely performed live by the band; and many other songs from End of Silence. Also included on the DVD will be a unique, behind-the-scenes look at life on tour with Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin; brand-new interview segments with the band; the “Breathe Into Me” concept music video; unique surprises for hardcore Red fans - and more. Lane Arnold, a concert promoter with FastLane Concerts / AEG, is personally excited about the release of End of Silence: Deluxe Edition. “During the Red concert that I promoted in Houston, I stood in the back and watched as the band and crowd connected in a way that I’ve never seen before. The guys in Red absolutely gave their all on that stage, and their fans did the same in return. Red fans are absolutely going to flip when they get their hands on End of Silence: Deluxe Edition, and are able to watch Red, in concert, anytime they want. For new and potential fans, this is the perfect piece to understand what this band’s powerful, live show is all about.” Red will be back on tour with Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin and Seether in October and early November of 2007. New Moya Brennan Album
The first lady of Celtic music, Moya Brennan, returns with an album that continues to push the boundaries, that inspires and intrigues. Signature, which will release through EMI CMG/Sparrow on September 25, 2007, looks back over a life less ordinary and portrays her experiences through a collection of twelve superb and personally introspective tracks. Musically sharp and finely tuned, the album cleverly treads a fine line between the contemporary and the traditional while Moya emerges, showcasing her talent as a skilled songwriter with a global ear. In true Irish tradition, many of the songs have an unmistakingly bittersweet flavour, making this project no rose-tinted retrospective. Signature encompasses a series of snapshots of Moya’s life, with each chosen moment launching a lyrical reflection, which, when woven together, produce a tapestry of contrasting colours and emotions. Moya’s personal life offers plenty of scope for such material and she approaches the project with honesty, integrity. As one of the most alluring voices around today, from song to song Moya takes the listener on a rocky road toward a place of beauty, hope and encouragement. Having been feted by a generation as the lead singer of Clannad, Moya’s life has witnessed plenty of highs. She remains one of Ireland’s most respected cultural icons, having had her music grace international film soundtracks (most recently with ‘King Arthur’) as well as Christian recordings, several television series and even dance anthems. As Signature makes clear, Moya’s life is not void of hardships and difficult times. Tracks like “Black Night” and “No One Talks” approach the subject matter with honesty and clarity, drawing the listener in alongside the singer as only Moya can do. “When I share things about my life with people I am sometimes amazed at the reaction,” says Moya. “I have been really moved in the way that my experiences have brought encouragement to others. Even though we can all feel broken at times, we can all be put back together again. I felt that translating some of that into song was a natural progression. I am what I am and here it is!” Throughout it all, Moya’s voice and lyrics are beautifully complimented by impeccable melodies and emotive arrangements. Without doubt, Signature is one of the most engaging, personal releases of the year. Find out more about Moya Brennan at moyabrennan.com
New Song From A Plea For Purging
A Plea For Purging has released a new song from their upcoming album "A Critique of Mind and Thought". The new album will be released on October 2nd. Check out "A Hymn of Praise" here: myspace.com/apleaforpurging. Coming at you in a blaze of high-end solos A Plea For Purging waste no time in proving their instrumental prowess. Guitarists Blake Martin and Lyle Paschal leave no room for the non-descript breakdowns that seem to saturate the current metal-core market. Formed in 2005 in Nashville, Tennessee under such influences as Dragonforce and Iron Maiden A Plea For Purging banged out 200 shows in their first year as a band. The band is as well known for their antics as for their scorching live performances and sometimes the two go hand in hand: "We've been known to breath fire at live shows from time to time," says vocalist Andy Atkins. When the fire isn't coming from their mouths it is certainly coming from their hearts. Pouring forth such intensity and precision they are a sort of threshing combine running at peak performance producing highly contagious riffs and infectious harmonies.
