Red Red Red
Sony BMG’s Essential Records cross-genre rock band, Red will be releasing a deluxe edition of their debut album, End of Silence on November 13th, 2007. This luxury edition will contain the original audio CD plus a live DVD that includes a plethora of content ranging from the “Breathe Into Me” music video to behind-the-scenes footage. Grammy-nominated quintet, Red, released their second single “Let Go”, from End of Silence, to rock radio in mid-September. The new single comes after the out-of-the-box success of Red’s first-ever rock radio single, “Breathe Into Me”, which was a Top 10 hit on the R&R Active Rock Chart. The single also hit No. 1 on Rate the Music research, among men, age 18-34 and pushed the band into Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart. End of Silence produced by producer/songwriter Rob Graves and mixed by Ben Grosse (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fuel) has scanned over 140,000 records to date. Corey Apar of All Music Guide said, “They confront universal topics from their lives -- pain, loneliness, confusion -- but there's an underlying theme of redemption that keeps things from becoming just depressing… Red's addition of string sections and piano parts on most every gives a nice ethereal edge to the band's otherwise intense and crashing rhythms.” Since Red dropped its debut album, End of Silence on June 6th, 2006, the band has broken the Top 10 on the Billboard Heatseekers Album Chart; received a GRAMMY nomination at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards; was Clear Channel’s New! Discover Music Featured Rock Artist for the month of July and August; toured non-stop (250+ dates per year) and shared stages with legendary acts including: Three Days Grace, Flyleaf, Buckcherry, Sevendust, Otep, Saliva, Puddle of Mudd, Papa Roach, Head PE and Theory of a Dead Man. The revolutionary alternative rock combo is rounded out by Mike Barnes, lead vocals; Anthony Armstrong, guitar; Randy Armstrong, bass; Jasen Rauch, guitar; and Hayden Lamb, drums. Red began headlining a tour in September of this year. On October 26th, you can find them on the road with Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin and Seether.

Flyleaf Flyleaf Flyleaf
A&M/Octone recording group Flyleaf will give their fans something brand new to talk about on October 30th, when they release a special edition two-disc version of their self-titled RIAA gold debut album FLYLEAF. In its 79th week on the Billboard 200 album chart, the original configuration remains inside the Top 100, with total sales of more than 750,000 and average sales of 8-9,000 per week – testament to the band’s explosive performances this summer on their second consecutive Family Values Tour. The new CD + DVD package builds on the success of “All Around Me,” now in its sixth month out, after reaching #6 at Modern Rock radio. It’s the third single from the album, following “I’m So Sick” and “Fully Alive” – and the video clips for all three will be included on the bonus DVD. (The video for “All Around Me” was shot by visionary director Paul Fedor, whose credits include Evanescence, Marilyn Manson, and 30 Seconds to Mars. The videos for “I’m So Sick” and “Fully Alive” were directed by the Brothers Strause, who’ve worked with A Perfect Circle, Linkin Park, Godsmack, Staind, and others.) In addition, special exclusive acoustic versions of “All Around Me,” “I’m So Sick,” and “Fully Alive,” plus “Cassie” and “Red Sam,” will be included on both the CD and DVD configurations. The new package will also contain a full-color Flyleaf locker poster, and access to free “All Around Me” ringtone and wallpaper. Flyleaf harvested a multitude of new fans on the 31-city 2007 Family Values Tour, sharing the stage with Korn, Evanescence, Atreyu, Hellyeah, Trivium, Neurosonic, Droid, and others. The tour followed up Flyleaf’s own two-month headlining Justice & Mercy Tour, from April through June, featuring Kill Hannah, Sick Puppies, and Resident Hero, and sponsored by the Spyglass/Universal movie Evan Almighty, which opened in June. June also marked the opening of 20th Century Fox’s Live Free Or Die Hard, featuring “I’m So Sick.” Texas-bred Flyleaf – propelled by the arsenic-laced lyrics and blow-torch delivery of vocalist/lyricist Lacey Mosley, dual shredmaster guitarists Sameer Bhattacharya and Jared Hartmann, and the thundering rhythm section of bassist Pat Seals and drummer James Culpepper – have been have been winning over crowds ever since the lineup came together in 2002. Word of their intense, live performances spread across Texas, and earned them a SXSW showcase and ultimately a record deal with Octone Records. The New York-based label is home to Maroon 5, and is known for its long-haul artist development and marketing strategies on behalf of its artists, grass roots promotion, and sustained creative and commercial success. The FLYLEAF album (released September 2005) was produced by Howard Benson, known for his work with Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance, POD and The All-American Rejects. It was eventually chosen as part of MTV’s coveted “Discover & Download” program. Since last year, the band has made major network television appearances on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, and NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly. Flyleaf has been touring virtually non-stop since the release of the album. The first three top-charted Rock singles – “I’m So Sick,” “Fully Alive,” and “All Around Me” – will be followed by “There For You,” impact dates to be announced in the weeks ahead. The band’s fan club has more than 20,000 “Mob Members” signed up, and their website on MySpace has more than 442,000 friends. The site currently logs over 12,000 plays per day and boasts over 22 million plays to date. “Mob Member” perks include limited edition merchandise, exclusive online content, and the chance to meet Flyleaf in person at shows. Trans-Siberian Orchestra Rock Your Face Off
One of the biggest arena attractions in rock music, Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO), will once again take to the road for what will be its largest-ever tour, more than 80 cities in the U.S. and Canada over a ten-week period beginning November 1st. Established in 1996 by producer/composer/lyricist Paul O'Neill, who immediately brought onboard long time friends Jon Oliva and Robert Kinkel, TSO's unique brand of symphonic rock has been a true mega-success, both on record and the concert stage, with fans ages 7 to 70. The band's four CD releases, including the holiday-themed Christmas Eve & Other Stories (1996), The Christmas Attic (1998), The Lost Christmas Eve (2004) and Beethoven's Last Night (2000) have sold more than 5,000,000 units, over 900,000 in 2006 alone. Proving their longevity and growing appeal, three of TSO's disc offerings placed in Billboard's Top Ten Catalog Album Charts in 2006. TSO's 2001 DVD release, The Ghost of Christmas Eve, also achieved platinum status. Since its first tour in 1999, TSO has been one of the most successful acts in the concert business, consistently rating in the Top 10 for both gross revenues and audience attendance. In that time, TSO's annual tours have become a must-see tradition for rock-centric revelers, attracting a uniquely all-ages audience captivated by their cross-genre blending of metal and progressive rock, classical themes and great storytelling, with unequalled staging and pyrotechnics. TSO's 2006 Winter Tour was its most successful to date, playing to over 1,000,000 fans, generating revenues in excess of $40 million, and earning the most attendance on Billboard's Top 25 Tours chart. "TSO continues to grow because we put the fans first, providing an affordably priced ticket to the biggest and boldest show in rock," states founder Paul O'Neill. "To create a band that could tackle any kind of music, we merged the primal power of a full-on hard rock band with a complete orchestra and a big ensemble of lead vocalists, who suit pieces reflecting classical, metal, gospel, jazz and more, literally everything under the sun. I think it's the daring and variety of the music, the fact that we'll travel anywhere musically to tell a story, which makes TSO a band with such a unique cross-generational appeal. We also work to make sure there's no second class seat in the house," adds O'Neill. "The impact is as powerful in the back of the house at a TSO show as it is in the orchestra section, due to the tremendous efforts we put into staying ahead of the pack with our staging and pyrotechnics, and, of course, the passion of our players. For me, the ultimate critic is time," concludes O'Neill. "It's rewarding for all of us in TSO that our concert audience continues to grow and that our albums sell more today than when they were first released."

Read Mark Joseph's Book, The Rock & Roll Rebellion?
You'll find something interesting details in there about Lenny Kravitz' spiritual journey and faith. Lenny Kravitz says it’s time for a revolution and he is launching a musical movement to do just that with the release of his 8th studio album on February 5, 2008. The album, entitled It Is Time For A Love Revolution (Virgin Records America), is Kravitz’s first new release in over three years; the record is a thunderous rock 'n roll call-to-arms, featuring a universal blend of soul, funk, and jazz grooves and the undeniable anthemic lyricism that's been his trademark from day one. "I love this record and the feel of the record," Lenny Kravitz said of the release. "I felt like a kid playing in my bedroom, and that's the most important thing you can tap into, that feeling of being free." That freedom is the fire inside It Is Time For A Love Revolution, which is sonically and spiritually as vibrant as Kravitz's debut album, Let Love Rule. Regarded as one of the great rock musicians of our time, Lenny Kravitz has achieved tremendous critical acclaim and commercial success with a succession of groundbreaking album releases, multiple # 1 singles on the Billboard Top Singles charts and an unparalleled collection of awards from throughout his career, including GRAMMYs, American Music Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. Written and recorded over the course of the last year, in various locations from New York to Miami, Paris, the Bahamas and Brazil, It Is Time For A Love Revolution holds up as one of the Kravitz’s best albums with its raucous rock 'n roll jams, heavy drums, tight hip-shaking grooves, frenetic guitars and Kravitz’s unmistakable croon. Featuring 14 new songs, the album once again finds the multi-instrumentalist writing, producing, arranging and playing all the tracks on the album, which he has done on all of his releases throughout his career. As the album title indicates, Kravitz sings songs of love and spiritual revolution, calling on people to open up and let love in their hearts. He also isn't afraid to get political, using his music to draw attention to the current US war in Iraq and the Vietnam era. From the above mentioned singles “Bring It On” and “I’ll Be Waiting,” as well as “Love, Love, Love,” “Dancin’ Til Dawn,” and “I Want To Go Home,” It Is Time For A Love Revolution represents the characteristics that has made Kravitz a vital musician for 18 years. Kravitz plans to tour behind It Is Time For A Love Revolution for two years after its release, but first he will help bring in 2008 with an exciting live performance from Times Square performing two songs during NBC’s world famous New Years Eve with Carson Daly. lennykravitz.com
