I put the five full-length studio albums plus their live album in my six-disc CD changer and hit "random," so I could hear various songs from their catalog.
I've made the following conclusion:
Stavesacre is the kind of band where it's more enjoyable to listen to their albums, track-by-track, than it is to shuffle through their catalog. I'm not sure why that is. It might be because I know their albums so well from multiple listens. You know the kind of familiarity of which I speak: as one track fades out you already hear the intro to the next song in your mind. Our maybe it's because their songs fit better in the context of the songs with which they were written. I don't know.
Here is the latest design for the next Heaven's Metal Fanzine cover. I like this one better than the previous one (found on the March 22 blog). What do you think?

Much better! I saw Virgin Black live in Sydney a couple years back, phenomenal recorded music and just as breathtaking live. An absolute must.
I like this cover a lot better too; thanks.
Yaah it sucks that stavesacre is broken up.They were one of my favoroite bands of all time. This cover does look better.Looks more goth, easier to see.I hope christian bands start having a look again they did in the 80's.Some in the 90's.But most bands look boring plain.Circus dawn had a cool look the makeup and all.Rackets and drapes looked cool to.Zao looked awesome on the liberate album.Black nail polish and tats.Use make up.Dye your hair.Do something so you don't look like a band that rolled out of bed.People want to be entertained.

Posted by: Jason Irvin at April 4, 2007 03:25 PMYeah...this VB cover looks better! I saw them in Adelaide on march 27th - great show!
I loved Stavesacre too - all their albums were very good - my fav being 'Speakeasy','Friction', and '2002 selftitled.
