Viva Nashville

Finally made it to Nashville.
It's always kinda weird to compare anything we go through here with a real place called Hell, but nothwithstanding
it was a GRIEF of a Day with American Airlines

I arrived at the Austin Airport
30 minutes before my departure time,
which is too late to board (if you have checked luggage),
so I was bumped from my 6am flight and took a 7am to Dallas. Once there, the connecting flight was full, and I was on standby, so I missed that one;
and then the next one;
and then the next one;
and another one.
Finally through the help of a new friend (soundman Jeffrey Gallup), we got on a flight at 4:45pm, and arrived around 7 something.

Whoo-hoo!
Praise the Lord, the ordeal is over!
I'm so glad to be past that.

I was able to finish a book, The House, by Frank Perreti and Ted Dekker; and then was able to read about half the book, Blue Like Jazz, which is great.

I was in the Dallas airport on AA today as well! Sorry to hear bout your bad day. I passed the time on my three flights in part by reading HM. I'm always tempted to leave my well read HM Mags somewhere in public such as a terminal for others' enjoymemt, but my selfish side always gets the best of me :-)

Blue Like Jazz is the next book on my list. (finishing up Binge right now) I hear alot of great and cool things about Blue. Can't wait to read your thoughts Doug about this book.

Doug - as a follow up to my previous airport story, I ended up giving my coveted HM magazine to a young guy who is beginning his foray into the music industry. God sat me next to him, to be sure. He was very psyched about HM of which he was unawares. I know that he will find your magazine influential and motivating, as his goal is to reach people through his music for Christ. Thank you.

That is so cool. Thanks. I hope you were able to pick up one of the free copies of the new issue at the convention.
