Lubbock or Leave It

The talks at South Plains College yesterday went fantastic. The students there were really nice. It was great to see a facility that caters to musicians and actaully helps equip them for a career in commercial music. There were rehearsal rooms, active studios, television studios, the whole nine yards. The school started as a bluegrass college, with world-renowned Bluegrass artists teaching at the school. It has expanded to very much include rock now. Way cool. I leave tomorrow morning for a similar talk at Greenville College. I'm looking forward to that.

I watched the movie Super Size Me yesterday during my trip. That documentary scared the crap out of me!!! I'm worried about my diet. I really need to shape up. This is a temple of the Holy Spirit and I better take better care of it. Neglecting it could be likened to spray painting graffiti (uninvited graffiti) on a church wall.

Super Size Me was awesome. I used to work for McD's. Hated it while I was there and even moreso after seeing the documentary. It'll make you think twice bout fast food.

The REAL super-size is the size God designed for us, without the excesses. Now if we could just determine what that size is.

I saw Supersize Me a few months ago. It was disgusting and fascinating. America has an obesity problem, and fast food is only one of the reasons... I saw an article in the paper today about how sales of "over-sized" caskets hae been on the rise the past few years. People need to exercise and eat right, but they all know that. They just don't do it.

I gotta admit though, I wouldn't exercise so much if it wasn't required for my job. :)

I saw Supersize Me a couple of weeks ago. I knew for sometime that the food was bad, but didn't realize that I could kill my liver with this sort of food. I don't eat Mcdonald's, but I do frequent Wendy's. I am getting to the point where I want to stay in shape, and be healthy for a long time.

Doug, you are right, the body is our temple, and it should be taken care of. Christians in America should set the example and lead healthier lifestyles.
