It's amazing what a little sleet and ice will do to a southern town. All the schools and universities are closed today. Good thing I saw my folks drive around in the snow while growing up a few years in Virginia. Today is the day to own a tow truck in this city! I'm listening to some gangsta rap while selling ads. I hope the influence doesn't rub off! grin. I can imagine threatening our clients. Not a good idea. We just got an amazing story lead today on a future exclusive interview. I won't spill the news just yet, but it's major. David Allen once again did a great job designing our next cover (May/June). I rented Insomnia last night and now I'm wanting to watch One Hour Photo, which I'm reviewing for the next issue, so I can get a double dose of Robin Williams doing dark roles. Still enjoying the new Iona boxset and Stretch Arm Strong's last album... Can't wait to hear their new one. Later.

Posted by: 1badpigfan at February 25, 2003 04:19 PMi know how it is with the snow shutting things down... i live in a mountain town in northern california so we get tons of snow... nothing ever shuts down unless it's an absolute blizzard, but one hour away in a nearby big city in a valley, if they get an inch they'll shut downs schools and stuff and nobody can drive.
Posted by: Silent Floor at February 26, 2003 03:41 PMA mountain town in Calif? Which one? I used to live in the Mojave Desert and we'd play schools like Mammoth and Bishop.
Posted by: Doug at February 28, 2003 02:17 PMyeah, here in PA we got a bizzard (as most of the US heard about) almost 2 weeks ago. That shut us down. But not much else does.
peace.
